I am a passionate, artistic, smart, and compassionate being. I truly believe that my purpose is to recognize that I am connected to all that I see. I would like to be in a relationship that benefits the world. In other words, the world is a better place because "we" are together. I was raised as a Christian (Catholic) but I am more spiritual than religious these days and feel that we are all connected. I see all religions coming together as one...not as separate but as unifying. I think there is a universal theme in all religions...love all, serve all. I am working on incorporating that theme along with meditation and yoga into my daily practice. You already know my age...so it doesn't matter if I date myself by saying " I love 80's music...especially 80's hair bands"..I am a studio artist so creating art is very important...painting, drawing, sculpture, and photography. I also love viewing art...I love art museums and galleries...local first Friday's can be fun but so is a trip to LACMA or the Getty.I try to maintain a positive attitude...I believe very strongly in karma and that I need do nothing for the circle will always complete itself. But there are times that I try to expedite the process and am quickly reminded that its not my place to do that. I am also reminded by life that things happen for me..not to me. I'm a woman who almost always has a smile on her face. I look for the silver lining in every situation. I know God has a plan for me and I hold on to that even when it seems like things aren't going my way.I love to laugh and laugh easily. Sometimes at completely innapropriate things. I like to make others laugh too but don't always think quick on my feet. I usually come up with the *** 2 days too late.I'm pretty shy at first. I'm not completely the same person with everybody. I don't have multiple personalities... just different people draw out different aspects of me. I'm an observer but not very observant if that makes any sense at all.I'm not a daredevil. I love to read romance novels and home decor magazines. I did read the 50 shades books. No, I am not into that lifestyle.I have three kids. My 17 year old daughter lives with me full time and my 11 year old son lives with his dad but spends a few days of the week with me. He thinks mom is pretty boring on her own so hopes that I find a friend that likes to do cool stuff.I would like to find a man with nice eyes and an easy smile. Belief in God is an absolute must. I desire to lead a healthier life and be more active so it would be great if those are your goals also. Someone who is considerate of others' feelings and not judgemental. Someone who still has a lot of life and fun in them and isn't ready to just sit on the couch and retire. Someone who is more outgoing than myself (which doesn't take much) who will gently and patiently ease me past my own comfort zone to try new things. I'd like a man that can be strong and assertive without being an overbearing ass. I want to live life with purpose on purpose and would like to find someone with that same mindset. Hiking, walking along the waterfront, a street fair.... anything that isn't just sitting across the table from each other. Being fairly shy, small-talk isn't my strong suit especially with someone I've never met before so if there is some kind of activity that would kind of take the edge off.
