About Me

This is what I would like for a man to say to me someday, and I truly mean it... "This is the last, worthless evening, that you'll have to spend". I'm kind, hard-working, funny, very trustworthy, and a bit "Type A". I hate drama as I've had enough in past relationships and have resigned to run at the first sign of it! I enjoy going out and like to have a drink or two. My parent's have been married for 57 years which taught me the values of being loyal and faithful. I'm told I do not look my age. Each decade it's getting more challenging but at least I keep up the good fight! I teach different types of group fitness/aerobic classes throughout the week which helps me to stay in pretty good shape. I'm a great conversationalist so if you don't like to talk, pass me by. I'm full of energy and like to be with a man that is as well. I'm one of those people that if you take me to a party where I know no one, I will leave knowing most everyone...and I would like to think they were glad they met me! I get along very well with men and women and have many friends. I like most all people and the diversity that comes with.I worked for a non-profit organization for 17 years which taught me to be a very charitable person. I believe in giving back to the community. "Giving back" does the mind, spirit and body good!I would like to meet a man that is handsome, intelligent, successful, caring, funny, AND enjoys being active. But, I don't need the six-pack kind of guy anymore because then it's expected of me too! I would prefer someone that is college educated but that's just a preference. I understand that not everyone wants to go to college or had the opportunity to go. I had no choice! A good sense-of-humor is key! I love to laugh, make people laugh, and hear laughter. I'm a giving, affectionate person. I'm a lover, not a fighter. ;) I want that in return. I'm not on this site for a "hook up!" I'm way past that stage in my life. If you are, they have other "fishy" sites for that but be careful as you might get bit by a shark! :)PS - Everyone has their "thing!" My "thing" is teeth. So, if you are missing a few, or they are less than "bright" I don't think it would work between us!

    I'm new to this adventure. I'm not proud of my divorce, but I fiinally realized that life is too short to waste time on something that was never going to change...no matter how hard I tried. A zebra never loses its stripes. So...here I am...ready to tackle the world again, so to speak. There's so much more to me than what I can compose in this space. One last thing, I think it's important for the right guy to be secure and confident in himself.     Updated:***I enjoy most of what living in SW Wa. has to offer, from the beach to the mountains. Ocean to rivers; I love being close to, if not in, the water. Summer is my favorite season.!!), bar-b-ques in the backyard, walking my dog at the lake, riding my bicycle around the neighborhood, working in the yard and garden, hanging out with friends and family. A little dirt can be a lot of fun, though I can be just as comfortable in the city as I am in the country. Flip-flops, running shoes, or heels....I wear them all. I like most music...no rap or screamo though.Joined a gym a while back and am finally getting serious about it. Participated in my first 5K this summer. That was a total blast! A good sense of humor is a must....laughter is essential. Don't drink much or do drugs...not interested if you do, keep looking. My camera is with me almost everywhere I go, so if you are camera shy let me know asap. ;) I can say I truly love my job and have a fantastic boss. I believe in Karma...free will...the grace of God. I would say I am spiritual not religious. I love a great cup of coffee or Chai and prefer small coffee shops or a drive-up stand over Starbucks any day. Starving artist that hasn't given up the day job. Upcycling furniture is a hobby.I am looking for someone that shares some of the same interests as I. I have an active lifestyle but do enjoy my downtime. Curled up on the couch or at the theater with a movie and someone to cuddle with is great. So is help working in the yard or garden, it will be reciprocated (and I will share the food). A love of sand and sun is essential. I am willing to try new things, are you? MUST love dogs, as mine is a huge part of my life. I can make just about anything fun....a positive attitude and living in the moment are the key. Let's meet first... grab a great cup of coffee and hit the pumpkin patch, grab a bite and just hang out. Find a dirt road and a creek to fish or just listen to the water. Take a walk around the lake with our dogs. Maybe drive down to the beach and get our feet wet. The possibilities are endless...
