Hmmm...hobbies well i like to read, love to dance, ride, camp and the beach. Anything thats fun really.I come from a big family and family is very important to me.Although my kids are grown they are a very big part in my life still.I will add more later..something i really got to think on and its just not that easy to put it all in words.Oh and Im the older one in the *** here it goes..lol :) Im single, have been for along time. Ive discovered this internet dating thing is really hard.. too much competetion..lol! When I talk to you guys you always ask what are you looking for??? That question to me is like a double edged sword. There really is no right or wrong answer to that question, not to me anyways. Im looking for friendship to begin with..Someone to discover, spend time with and maybe in the future if we click build from there. Im not in a hurry ..but i do like to have fun and be spontaneous and too me alot of you guys are judgemental. Im an open book and honest almost to a fault. I dont play games and the one thing i can say is I dont respect the men that do. Im not into players... If you cant put yourself out there enough for me to get to know the real you then what is the point. And oh my really... if your not into me after a couple dates then just say it. How hard is that??

How exactly does one describe themselves? ok, here goes..Without sounding overly confident I will say I am very happy with my Life and my accomplishment thus far. But yes there is a void...That other half. I'm not saying that if you contact me, I'll buy airplane tickets to the Little White Chaple in Vagas. I have had a very success career. I am a Registered Nurse and worked in the Intensive Care Unit for over twenty years, and then moved on to teaching(also in medical field). After working so many years in Critical Care,I have learned and experienced many life lessons and learned that life is too short and every day is a new tomorrow.I have raised two wonderful sons that i'm very proud of, who are now 16 and 19... and slowly (or should I say much too fast for me) reaching the age will they will soon be on their own. And yes I find it difficult to accept, but they too will be opening a new chapter in their lives. Without sounding vain, My friends tell me that I'm fun to be with, full of energy, and look younger than my stated age.( I work out 6 days a week and feel as fit as I did in my 20's) I hate to argue, look towards a compromise, and to avoid an argument I usually walk away till that cooling off period has set in. Communication in my book is a big plus in a relationship. I like to be treated with respect as I do others. I'm a bit old fashioned and like it when a man opens doors for me, helps me with my coat, and places his Jacket over a puddle so I don't get my feet wet...lol..I have a positive attitude and look at life as the glass were half full. I am continuously working to improve myself mentally, physically, and emotionally. I value good friends, family, honesty ,respect, and freedom and there is nothing better than a good laugh to take the edge off the stress filled life we live in. I am looking for a new relationship, someone who is also happy with their life and wants to make it complete by forming a trusting and passionate relationship. Someone who has sence of humor, good values, likes to joke around and laugh a lot. Life is too short to have it any other way. Forget it guys I'm not a "one night stand" or "a Sunday spare" If you think we are compatable and you enjoy the good stuff life has to offer..Then please don't hesitate to mail me and we'll see where it goes...I am looking forward to hearing from you.... Surprise me

Hi. I'm a quiet introspective person who enjoys reading, movies, plays and trips to the city. However, I do enjoy hanging out with friends and family, and am not a wallflower. I enjoy flea markets, festivals (especially balloon festivals) and craft shows. I like cooking and baking, especially for the holidays. I live close to the boardwalk, and love both the quiet of early morning walks and the noisy amusement aspect at night (the lights, the smells, the sounds of kids screaming on rides!). I'm all across the map when it comes to both books and music. I love any and all kinds and can't see how people can only listen to one type of music. I'm currently converting all my cds onto my ipod (quite the undertaking). I love reading, writing and talking books (any clue that I was an English major in college?) I even started volunteering as a home bound delivery person through my library, delivering books to house bound individuals. My goals...live a good life, with integrity, honesty, and hopefully with a love like my parents have (over 50 years together). First date would depend on season...Winter - someplace warm and cozy, preferably with a nice roaring fire. Spring - I'll take a benadryl, but after a long, cold winter and I'm ready to go anywhere outside...can be as simple as a trip to a park or the zoo, or a picnic lunch and canoeing. Summer...a stroll on the boardwalk with a couple drinks somewhere looking out at the water. Maybe be impressed by your fine skeeball skills! Then a walk down on the beach. It might start getting chilly and you'll share your sweatshirt. Fall...endless possibilities - Don't get me wrong. I love the romance of fine dining and candlelight, but why not save that till we really know each other. Start small and get to know each other.
