I have an amazing life and want to share it with a great person. I'm happy and confident, love being outdoors exploring the mountains and lakes in this great province. There is nothing like traveling the back roads, or standing at the top of a mountain on a clear day and looking over the city. Equally exhilarating, is finding a quiet spot by the ocean and watching the sun set...My friends would describe me as confident, strong, sensitive, happy and giving... but you won't find a pushover here at all. I treat others as I expect to be treated. They would definitely say I have a wicked sense of humor and I usually can make people laugh easily. They would also tell you they have watched me go through life challenges that have been more difficult than most people go through, but I keep coming back stronger than before... If I have to put my money on anyone, it's going to be me. I know how to balance hard work with adventure. I shoot for a healthy life style physically and mentally. I have a zest for life and would like to experience all the good and fun things that life has to offer. I can usually find the positive in everything, and can be a strong ear with sound advice when needed. I am a strong advocate for those I care about.My ideal mate is out there and he is amazing. :) He's not like the others. He's honest and confident, kind.. with maybe a little bit of an edge ;) He has the best sense of humor and loves to make people laugh. He is honest and willing to go the extra mile. I'm holding out for that guy..AND...He has a job and is not living in his mother's basement! I'm ***years out of a 17 year marriage and have worked hard to start over from nothing. The guy that puts butterflies in my stomach, and I can't wait to see him again.. (Tall order.. I know!) Maybe it will happen, and maybe it won't. If it doesn't, I am ok with that.     How exactly does one describe themselves? ok, here goes..Without sounding overly confident I will say I am very happy with my Life and my accomplishment thus far. But yes there is a void...That other half. I'm not saying that if you contact me, I'll buy airplane tickets to the Little White Chaple in Vagas. I have had a very success career. I am a Registered Nurse and worked in the Intensive Care Unit for over twenty years, and then moved on to teaching(also in medical field). After working so many years in Critical Care,I have learned and experienced many life lessons and learned that life is too short and every day is a new tomorrow.I have raised two wonderful sons that i'm very proud of, who are now 16 and 19... and slowly (or should I say much too fast for me) reaching the age will they will soon be on their own. And yes I find it difficult to accept, but they too will be opening a new chapter in their lives. Without sounding vain, My friends tell me that I'm fun to be with,full of energy, and look younger than my stated age.( I work out 6 days a week and feel as fit as I did in my 20's) I hate to argue,look towards a compromise,and to avoid an argument I usually walk away till that cooling off period has set in. Communication in my book is a big plus in a relationship. I like to be treated with respect as I do others. I'm a bit old fashioned and like it when a man opens doors for me, helps me with my coat,and places his Jacket over a puddle so I don't get my feet wet...lol..I have a positive attitude and look at life as the glass were half full. I am continuously working to improve myself mentally, physically, and emotionally. I value good friends, family, honesty ,respect, and freedom and there is nothing better than a good laugh to take the edge off the stress filled life we live in.
