About Me

-garde,I never thought it would be this hard,But I'll search 'til I get my wish. I've been in SoCal for over five years now and I am still loving it, but there is so much to see, who knows where I may land. Do you want to hear more? Alright, let's see.... I'm adventurous and like to try new things(sky diving however is not on the list). I've explored various Mayan ruins, white***I also have a fondness for afternoon naps and relaxing at home. I'm not religious at all, but I do appreciate the un-randomness of things and how, when I look back, the pieces all fit together. I just have to learn to be more patient and trust the future pieces will fall into place too. Presently I am the manager of an independent bookstore and I really enjoy helping someone find a book they will love. (I don't read as much as I should shhhhh!)Shall I continue? I've been called a foodie, and I'm not going to argue. Good food doesn't have to be fancy, just delicious. I'm a decent home cook and I enjoy trying new recipes on my grill/smoker. I won first place in a cookie contest once. I am an admirer of details, from ingenious design to the patina of an old wood bar worn smooth by many hands. In my spare time I enjoy playing backgammon. Recently I have taken a few classes on wild edible foraging and preparation. I ate an ant. One is enough. I don't watch much TV except if there is a hockey game on with one of my favorite teams. If I had cable, I would probably watch cooking shows and the Antiques Roadshow, but there is so much garbage on that I can't justify paying for it. My taste in movies and music is diverse. I'm sure we can agree on something, as long as it isn't contemporary country music. I draw the line there :-)I'm attracted to charismatic, witty men who are passionate about their interests. Players and egoists needn't bother, but I'm not what those types are typically looking for anyway. I'm a sucker for a man who can rock a pork pie hat. I typically date outside my race, but it isn't a deal breaker. I want to find someone where we share a mutual attraction and enjoy spending time together. I'm not looking for a fling or a hook-up, so please look elsewhere if that is what you want. I just want to find someone I click with and see where it goes. So, what do you think? I've often thought of writing a more generic profile. I've contemplated cutting and pasting all the common phrases that I see repeated in other profiles, "down to earth" etc., just to see if I'd get a different response. But this is who I am, and I'm not going to fake it. I know I'm not for most men, nor are most of you for me, but I'm an optimist most days, so here I am, putting the real me out there. This is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg, care to dive deeper? To me, a first date implies that we have met and liked each other enough at the meet-n-greet to proceed to a first date. Meet-n-greets are usually coffee, except when they are a punk concert or a taxidermy exhibit. First dates however have loads of possibilities!

I enjoy the outdoors, travel and adventure. Food, film and live music are some of the great ways I spend my free time. I have my hands well balanced in many related jobs and my life is never dull. I love to workout outdoors, check out small towns, and hit the road for an unplanned escape somewhere new. Care to join? Wanna hear more? Drop me a line. Laughter is key? P.S. I am a New Yorker it ads a lot to my character. I live on the beach, and have many wonderful friends who's company I enjoy. I have a life but it would be fun to add a mate to the mix! I dare you! I am sorry I do not date outside my religion... A first date can be a hike,a stroll a game of paddle tennis, drinks and or dinner. I love adventure and I really don't care where we go,but it excites me if you have a plan. Maybe something casual that can escalate to something more. Not much of a coffee girl. I like my Joe in the a.m. and I find those dates a little lame. I am honest to a fault, but genuine nonetheless! If you are real, know how to have a good time and bring sex appeal to the table, you just may be able to keep up with my sass and quick wit! I would love to meet my match! Is it you?

Hello... I have an awesome son who is 12 and I am looking for a FAMILY MAN that can be goofy and loving and intelligent (but someone that can be a little wild too, on occasion). I am heavily tattooed, but that is not all there is to me. I LOVE my son, horses, martial arts, sushi and my family. And I am a proud member of the NRA. I play guitar occasionally. Someone that likes to go the Disneyland/Knotts Berry Farm, the Beach, camping anywhere, making dinner at home with the family. A GENTLEMAN WHO LOVES DOGS AND HORSES :) Movies aren't a great idea because there is really no time to talk or get to know one another. Bar is a BAD IDEA :) there are plenty of things and places to go
