About Me

-Fri. Been single for the last 3 years after a 15 yr relationship. No matter what the reasons for ending a long term relationship like that, it isn't easy to get over and takes time. Now that I've had enough time to myself, I'm interested in both making friends and dating. Ultimately I would like to be in a relationship again but realize that doesn't happen overnight. I'm upfront, open, sensitive, and caring. I am quiet and a bit guarded until I get to know someone and feel comfortable. After that I will open up and am known to have a bit of a sarcastic sense of humor, but not in a hurtful way. I can be very particular about many things (yes, I know there's a term for that!) I love animals - I have a cat and a dog who mean the world to me as they have been my constant companions through the good and the bad. I like the water, mountains, cooler weather, gardening, backyard fires, golf, tennis, traveling, British humor, British bands (of the '80's and forward), and ethnic food. I enjoy intelligent conversation (or just being silly) and laughing with good friends. I don't have a close family so friends are very important to me.I like being around women (or people in general) who are intelligent (smarter than me ; )) and witty. It's just a different mindset - not better or worse. I like people from all different kinds of backgrounds because I enjoy hearing about different perspectives, ideals, cultures, etc. I am flexible in some of my thinking so I'm open to new ideas. I work Mon-Fri and I'm free on the weekends.
