About Me
Hi there! Well this is my second attempt at meeting someone on meetville. I really didn't give it much of a chance before, so let's try this again. Reason why I was disappointed the first time was many contacted me out of range of my residence and also incomplete profiles, unthoughtful, insincere interest in forming a relationship even if it's dating, and also, "shirtless" pics and sunglasses. I guess I do have peeves, but I can't form any type of connection if there is nothing to go by and my profession isn't as a judge at a body building contest, so please.. no profiles with shirtless wonders. It creeps me out, unless you are at the beach or in a boat, or are a body builder. :) Fellas... seriously I will tell you what is wrong with your profiles and why you aren't meeting quality women, lol. STOP with that whole, "don't want no drama, or bs" thing. EVERYONE has a past! If you put up pictures of yourself hanging out in your bathroom shirtless, YOU WILL get *** idiots, just not this knucklehead. Think about it! I don't reply to "what's up, hi sexy, yo, hi cutie", etc. I won't respond to a guy with a his wife or girlfriend in his images, or any other gal for that matter. It's weird! I'm finally getting a divorce after being seperated for two years (Navy). It's very amicable, and after 23 years of total marriage, it's time I got my feet wet in the dating pool. I'm not much of a dater, because it seems like trying to meet someone is a job, and getting to know someone is an interview process. I'm a pretty monogamous person, so not into the whole "poly thing", "hanging out", "hooking up", "serial dating", or ";. Hopefully I touched on all the weirdos. Oh and I just learned about this whole "CATFISH" thing.. my kiddo told me about it. No noodlers, lol. Unless you really do "noddle" and then I'd be impressed! A little about me: I am 41, (thanks for all those complimentary *** say I don't look it, whoot!) and have a 16 year old son who lives with me. My hobbies: Surfing and being near the water. Nothing like being out there in nature, to realize so much that does and doesn't matter in life. Still it would be nice to pick up the phone and reach out to someone and share my days burdens and delights. Most weekends, if I'm not surfing, are spent cutting the grass, weeding, washing my car, doing domestic chores, and preparing for the week ahead, so it's important to me that when I have the time, it's spent with a quality person who can bring joy in my life. I am pretty independant. Have your own sense of self! ***that means have a job, your own set of friends, etc. Not looking to change anyone or have them change me. Let's find some happy together! My personality is pretty laid back (surfer) and flighty (oh, look a squirrel) at times. I'm a Gemini, lol. I can argue or debate two sides to just about everything which makes me indecisive at times about making a stance on a situation; however, on the good side.. I'm completely not judgmental, racist, or ultra conservative. I'm never sarcastic, more on the goofy side. I don't mind making fun of the mistakes I've made or the silly things I do. I hardly ever travel without my boards, "Nana" and "Moe". Never know how the weather is going to be, and I check the surf report religiously, lol. I m also NOT the usual "girlie" type. If you're looking for someone who shops, or gets their hair done and nails done every week, bypass me, lol. I like to relax and just be the authentic self that I am. I also lost my best furry friend about two months ago after ten years, so after about five days of boo hooing, and telling the World that "I'll never get another one", I so did. New addition in my home is another hound mix, Hank! He's a real nucklehead. He rescued me after I rescued him! NOT the typical dinner and movies! How about let's go grab some doughnuts or ice cream and say hello? Do you have a dog? Let's meet at the park and go for a walk. How about meet up at the pier and watch the fishermen and just sit and enjoy the view over conversation? Be creative! We can even go dutch! :) If we meet at the pier, I'll spot you a dollar, ;o)Way to much pressure is put on a first date and that makes me uncomfortable. Plus I can't eat in front of someone if all I'm doing is chattering, lol. If things were to progress to a second date, a nice little outside seafood joint over looking the water, or how about someone pull out the grill and let's sit around with a few cold ones? Show me the places in Jax that you enjoy! Invite me over to play cards with the boys... (be sure to front my stack though, lol). Let's drive to St. Augustine and find a new spot outside of Jax to get our grub on. :) How about a boat ride (if you have a boat)? Let's' watch the Gators play this fall.. where? ANYWHERE! Let's go to the museum and jab about how interesting it is, get our "learn" on. Let's go test a vehicle that neither of us are going to purchase (okay seriously I'd call shot gun). Let's go listen to a live band and have a few (and I mean few... ) drinks. Let's go on a picnic...let's go looking for sharks teeth, or sea glass.. the point is.. to GOOOO! Anything can be a nice little encounter! Okay so I've given you enough ideas.
