So textspeak (e.g., ru a fn gurrrl) even when texting, drives me nuts. It's probably my biggest pet peeve. I moved here from DC recently, but I've also lived in IN (grad school), VA (more grad school), and CA (my home state).- great weather, outdoor activities, and a constant influx of people from all walks of life who are looking for an adventure (and barbecue!). While the guy didn't last, the city left a lasting impression. I doubt I need another cross-country event to surpass that one, but something original that includes both of our interests is always a great place to start.

Am at a very content place in my life. Daughter is grown and doing wonderful, have family/friends close by and am finally at a point in my life that I have the time to do what I 'want' rather than what I 'have to'. For right now this includes starting a new job, going back to school and starting to remodel my house. Though all things I enjoy, I do admit my schedule can get kind of hectic at times. But have no fear, I covet 'me' time which would include (when appropriate) the time I spend with a significant other.At this point, finding a quality relationship is something I am willing to patiently wait for; not needing to feel 'completed' but a partner in crime would definitely fit the bill:) For now, finding a new friend to hang out with and see what happens from there I think is the perfect place to start. Though I think common interests are important, I don't want to be with a mirror image of myself. Chemistry is everything. Really looking for someone who is quick to think of others and who speaks to the garbage man with the same respect he would a President. Someone who can carry on a conversation about a myriad of things or also feels comfortable saying nothing at all. Someone with a strong work ethic but who can also 'play hard' and possesses a quick, easy wit. Someone who will look you in the eye, shake your hand without crushing it, comment on the Giants game (SF or NY) and can enjoy a meal even if it doesn't involve condiments, corn, or something fried.....but at the same time who will also ferociously negotiate for the last bite of dessert:)If the above piques your interest, give me a shout. Hi....it is hard to describe yourself in a couple paragraphs, but here is a little about me....I am a single mom of two great kids. I am looking to meet that special someone to get to know and most of all develop a friendship with. I think friendship is the foundation of any good relationship. I would like to meet someone to talk to and laugh with and just be myself with. I believe in open communication and going the extra mile for those special people in your life. I love my job and am satisfied with my life the way it is. I would however, like to meet that person that I can share life with.I like going to new places and trying new things as well as simply relaxing at home over a good movie or music with good conversation and great company. I love going to the gym and go ***times a week to workout. I like being outside and working in my yard, relaxing by the pool, riding four wheelers. I like both the beach and mountains. I have recently found that I really like watching both college and professional football (I need someone with patience to help me figure out all of the rules). I love storms, just to lay back and listen to the thunder and rain.
