About Me

Seriously?? Guys, if you don't intend to meet someone do NOT waste our time! Future guys, I will not waste weeks of *** we *** times, great but let's meet. Ask a person out! Why is that so difficult? Now that I have Sold my house in N. I am an independant women, where during the summer I do work 7 days a week ( help my elderly parents out with their summer business). For this reason, looking for someone close by, even though I do work a lot, I am "off duty" usually by noon...I am outspoken yet shy ( yes guys I am shy) ..I take great lenghts to make sure I am in good shape ( mentally and phyically) and expect my partner to do the same. By far this has been the most difficult state to date in. I find the men here ( please prove me wrong) not really willing to go that extra mile for a women, a bit lazy I guess I could say. I do want a man to come to my turf at first. Call it old fashioned, call it whatever you want, but one thing I can tell you all about women, is we like it when you do nice things like that.I am NOT a bar person. I will gladly meet you out for a drink on a first meeting, but guys, not a bar..that is not me..I am past that at my age. A quiet Restaurant in the corner where we can talk is much more my style. My likes:Walking, hiking, biking, gardening, going to the beach, the gym, cooking, wine..a good BBQ in the summer, hanging out with my family and Travel. Once I meet a man, my typical things to do are simple things...Dinner and a movie, walks on the beach or the back bay..hiking..traveling..Dislikes: Guys that tell me I have too many rules because I am not a late night person...One thing that is very important to me, is working out. I do classes at night afterwork. so my weekdays are usually doing that, I don't get home until 7:30..Will that eventually change, probably..but not right now..Even still I just don't do late night things..I am a morning person...you want to meet on a Sunday morning for a hike. GREAT...or an weekend afternoon kind of thing? fantastic..I guess it goes back tot he bar thing...just not interested. I am looking for someone fit, usually clean cut, ( Yes, that does mean the full beards, funky facial hair, are not attractive to me sorry, ), tall ( I stand 5'8" bare footed)and attractive. Also a complete non smoker. BTW unless I am at the gym or working for my Dad, I am Usually in heels..I am sure i will write more but kinda rushed. Anything but coffee pls..Be creative...

Looking for someone to get to know, spend time with, is serious about a relationship. I love to go out whether it is to a concert, dinner, hang with friends, try new activities, etc. I'm a positive person because I have control over my own destiny and happiness. I try to live in the moment and put things into perspective; to not sweat the small things. If you're ready to live and move forward holding my hand, let me know. I look forward to meeting you, the possibilities are endless......ps if you have a cat, I'm sorry I am extremely allergic. I've been there, done that. A great first date would be a casual meeting to talk about each other, our interests, etc. and to if we click. No pressure. During the first date you pretty much know if you want to see someone again. A cup of coffee or a glass of wine, etc. and hopefully we will like each other. If not, no harm done.

I'm constantly bewildered by the cruel joke of heterosexuality. Why am I drawn to and attracted to the opposite sex when it appears that everything about us is, indeed, opposite? It seems that men are more suited to living with men, and women with women. So why are we trying to fit a square peg into a round hole (please pardon the pun as I believe I've just answered my own question while philosophizing). I am sort of a walking contradiction in that I love people but am sort of a loner. I'm a little bit country, but I'm also a little bit rock 'n' roll. I love to go for a long hike in the woods with my dogs, but when I get home I might blast some Radiohead or Pink Floyd... or Johnny Cash. Then there's big band music! So much to choose from...I like social gatherings but I'm more likely to enjoy doing something productive. Most of my hobbies entail solitude. Things like painting, writing (screenplays mostly), hiking, biking, hanging out with my dogs. Very dedicated to my dysfunctional family, as well. I'm not a huge fan of television but do like public TV and a few cable shows like "Curb Your Enthusiasm." I could watch that show for hours. Also like Mad Men and a guilty pleasure is "The Bachelor". I can be too serious/cynical about life sometimes but when my mind is free from worrying about my family, my friends and the planet, I can be a hell of a lot of fun! I love to laugh but I also can appreciate a peaceful Sunday morning drinking coffee, listening to music and reading the paper. (One stripper said that a raisin was once originally a pickle--I'm sorry, it's cruel but it makes me feel better about myself!) I'm a pescatarian and would prefer someone that's not big on eating meat. Also would love someone who is outdoorsy and more of a homebody than an adventurer.I've been told I'm a gay man trapped in a woman's body. Maybe you should be a lesbian trapped in a man's body? First date should always be quick and painless, like ripping off a band-aid, just to see if there is chemistry. A quick dinner/drink or lunch is preferred. If we make it to the second date, I'd like to take a day trip to a city I've never been to before (provided I'm driving so you can't try to kidnap me, only to be seen again on milk cartons--Have you seen this girl?) and explore the local culture. Restaurants, shops, art museums, plays, etc. If the day goes well, the drive back home exchanging time on the iPods (which we'll bring on the first date, of course) should be titillating!
