I'm ready and wanting to simplify and just start living. losing them has let me know what I do and don't want out of life.I don't want a one night stand or friends with benefits. I'm hoping to go back in the Spring to get my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.I've made some dumb choices in life, I choose to learn from those and move on.     Hi there - first time here. Single for the first time in 15 years...wow. Thankfully, times have changed and I don`t have to go to the bar in my highest shoes, smallest clothes and biggest hair to meet someone. Ahhh...the early days. I remember dancing on a speaker at Senor Frogs back in 95 and proclaiming to my friends that ìf I EVER, EVER not want to dance the night away on a speaker with cheap booze then shoot me! So..that has changed too. Fun though. :) I am successful in my profession, happy with it and look forward to going to work every day. I have great friends and family and always enjoy sitting with a glass of wine to visit. I love to travel; any place, any time. I`m also a bit of a homebody, love to cook, love to enjoy home, love to be cozy with a book. I look forward to camping each summer and snarl at winter. I`m active, I love to walk and love the gym (it`s a great stress-buster) and I also like to have a good and sinister time. I dont over-think things, I'm not very analytical and a bit of an introvert, but I tend to go with the flow. It is what it is.     If I had to describe myself, I'd say I tend to be more of a homebody. I'm more laid back and mellow, and I'm perhaps not as girly as some would like. I do not doll myself up in make up or spend hours on my hair. I think some times this hurts me, but I like simple...I'm ok with simple. I'm not big into drama, and I'm content without having to knock others down to make myself feel better. I'm not perfect, and I never will be. I am tall and overweight, and I will never be short and slender. I do not expect my dates to be perfect, nor do I want them to be. All I want is someone who understands life itself isn't perfect and it's ok to be flawed just as long as you have a good heart and soul...as the expression goes, "Life is too short..." In conclusion, I am a pretty simple person, but I have a pretty good sense of humor...I don't like to take everything too serious if I don't have to, but still be able to know when humor is inappropriate. I love animals, nature and I am content staying home and watching a good movie. Some times it's fun to go out too, but in moderation. If I had any real goals or aspirations, I suppose just working on being a better person, creating a good life and continue learning as I go. I don't need fireworks and explosions every waking moment, but a few here and there never hurts. :) I can be pretty shy and quiet, which makes it difficult for people to get to know me, but I think when you meet the right one...shy and quiet somehow work, simply because when it's right...you don't need all the static, it just all falls into place.
