I’m very opinionated at times, I am very self confident, not to be confused with conceited. I have a BIG sense of humor, I'm selfish at times, strong headed and determined. I am also a very caring person and very trustworthy. However, if someone pisses me off I can be a huge biotch (but that’s a given LOL..I'm a female ). I am a single mom of 2 wonderful kids a daughter 21 and a son 16.They are my life and truly a blessing. I don’t know how I would have gotten this far with out them. They are my strength. I try not to dwell on the things that don't matter. I'm not your regular girl; you just have to really look at me to notice because I won't give it away that easy. Like a light at the end of the tunnel that gets brighter as you work your way towards it, those who get close enough feel the warmth and see the beauty of its intricate beams of light, while others who don't have the strength seem to fall into the shadows.There is so much more, but if I tell you it all there will be nothing for you to find out. I know it's a long profile but I'm worth it ;)I signed up for this a while back and am starting to think it's all a waste of time. I don't want to sound negative... but it may be about time to chalk this up as my own little social experiment gone awry.I guess at this point I am supposed to tell you a little about me… sorry but it is going to seem like a list. I don't know any other way to do this. I can be sarcastic at times, and have a slightly dark sense of humor. I enjoy hanging out and laughing with friends. When I have the time, I love to travel. I am independent but at the same time I love others to take the reins every once in a while. I expect to be treated well but don't expect a guy to shower me with gifts (if I wanted it I probably bought it already LOL). I'm pretty easy going... Or at least think I am ;)Wanna hear a deep dark secret? One that no one in BC is supposed to admit to? I DO NOT CAMP. I tried it once and ended up in a hotel. Before you say "but if you only tried it once how do you know you won't like it?", I love the camp fires and being outside but I prefer the comfort of a bed and can't stand bugs! If you like to camp that's cool... just go with your buddies and I will see you when you get back. At some time in my life I may actually try again but you would have to be pretty damn persuasive to get me to do it.As you can see I "have children"... well... one. He is 16 years old and already has a great dad so I am not looking for a "father figure" for him. I am not interested in having more kids of my own but if you have children I am not opposed to that.I'm a bit of a SciFi geek. I enjoy shows like Star Trek, Doctor Who, Game of Throwns, etc. I will go see any Super Hero show (even if its bad I still enjoy it). My son and I play board games like Carcassonne but still enjoy old school games like Clue ;) OK. That's enough about me. What am I looking for? I am looking for companionship, whether it ends in friendship or more. I like guys who are witty, have a great sense of humor and a nice smile. I am looking for someone to bring a little more levity into my life 'cause all work and no play make's me a bored girl :) The ideal guy would understand that chivalry is not dead. There is a good reason but probably not the one you think. Over the past 3 months I have gone from a size 2XL to a size M. I've dropped 30 pounds (and counting) by eating healthy (well... I still enjoy some chocolate but that's healthy right?) and getting active. I am almost at my ideal weight and will post LOTS of photos then ;) My main activity at the moment is speed walking but if you enjoy an interesting activity I would love to hear about it! BTW, I still want to have some curves so if you are looking for a stick thin anorexic I am definitely the wrong girl for you.I am an overall happy person. My choice to loose weight had nothing to do with trying to be happy or feeling more attractive. I have always felt sexy no matter what my weight was. This was simply a choice I made at this time in my life and I have been enjoying every minute of it. If you are interested in a positive, outgoing girl who is comfortable in almost any situation then send me a message. My idea of the perfect first date depends on my mood, but it’s all about finding something to do during those awkward silences that inevitably show up on dates to start with.
