About Me

Here's me in a nutshell: I am the mom of two incredible boys, ages 11 and 6. They are my world. I am also an elementary school teacher at a Christian school. I love my job. I can't imagine doing anything else. I am a bit quirky, I can be a little goofy...ok, sometimes a lot goofy, I'm a mom and the teacher of children, it just comes with the territory!! :-) I believe that every single day that I open my eyes and put my feet on the floor is a gift, full of brand new mercies from God. My faith is my foundation and the source of my strength and happiness. I believe in forgiving people for their mistakes and putting the past behind you. I believe in working hard and playing hard. I believe in laughing at yourself...if you don't, someone else will! I believe it's ok to cry, and I do...not just when I'm sad but often tears of joy. I am passionate, romantic, fiercely loyal, more than a little stubborn, a bit more clumsy than graceful, always have the best of intentions even when things go completely wrong, a thinker almost to a fault but in the end will be led more by my heart, and perhaps most importantly...I sneeze really loud :-)I am not 20 years old. I don't have the body of a 20-year-old. I am not a stick figure. I have never been a stick figure. I don't want to be a stick figure. I will never be a stick figure. I am 40 years old. I am curvy and soft. A little curvier and softer than when I was 20 years old...I have proudly carried 2 babies in my tummy since then. I do take care of myself. All of my pictures are very current. What you see is what you get. My ideal man is compassionate, has a tender side, not only has all of his teeth but they are in the right places, has nice hands, is kind to my children (and all children), can be serious when necessary but embraces his playful side, will sit on the floor and play cards and board games with me and understand that I WILL gloat when I beat him :-)I'm not looking to rush into a serious relationship. I would simply like someone to spend time with...to enjoy each other's company. I enjoy dinners by the water, days on the beach, nights on the beach!, going to football games, live music, dancing, grilling at home and watching movies on the couch...it's not so much about what you do as about enjoying being together. If something more than friendship develops then great but no pressure!) I'll happily go to your games if you'll go to mine!**One more thing...By the way, I rarely make first contact. There was a time when I would but my *** often went unanswered. So, if I've viewed your profile and didn't *** isn't necessarily because I wasn't interested.     ***Time for an update!! Ok..so..we can see how "my best friend" has not arrived! Would still love to find him, but until then, I'm just gonna have to go with life and see what's in store for me. We never know what life is gonna hand us unless we get out there and take chances. Besides...we can never havetoo many friends...right??? So let's start with friends....might turn into Best *** .I don't put up with liars,cheaters, thieves, or any kind of abuse toward my kids or myself! So if you are still reading this, that's a good thing. If you are any of the above, MOVE ON!.I would love to actually find someone worth spending time with...you know...someone REAL! NOT FULL OF GAMES.I love to have fun, & all I want is MY special someone to spend time with. I have been divorced for 11 yrs. I have 2 sons....17 & 21. I don't want to grow old alone, however, I will not settle just because I don't want to be alone either. All I want is my best friend to grow old and enjoy life with. I love my friends, that is why it is SO important to me to meet my BEST FRIEND...my SOUL MATE if you will ;-). Traveling, Camping, Fishing, Hiking, or just a nice evening either going out to dinner and a movie or a Comedy Club or catching a concert. Cooking in and watching a movie snuggled together on the couch sounds great too! I am very easy to get along with. I know my Best Friend/Lover is out there somewhere....and obviously I haven't done such a great job at finding him....so I am leaving it in GOD'S hands...AND YOURS...LOL;-} .....here comes the fine print...please read carefully....(must like kids & me..lol ;-) If you DO drink MORE than just "SOCIALLY"...PLEASE STATE SO...OR JUST PLAIN SAY "YES"!!...DON'T SUGAR COAT IT!! This means, if you have more than ***drinks *** our FIRST meeting, WHAT THE HECK IS THE REST OF IT GONNA BE LIKE???!!!)...OK, OK, I know..most of that wasn't SO FINE!!! Just don't want an alcoholic or druggie in my child or my life!! I definitely love my family & friends & yours would automatically fit right into mine ;-} I don't have alot of family left...but would be willing to adopt yours if you would let me ;-) Anything Fun....You now know what I enjoy....so surprise me! LOLBy the way, I do love going to Sporting events! Baseball, Basketball, & Football, Nascar...those are the only pro games I have been to....but I would love to go to other games as well! I also love hunting & camping. I guess you could say I am a Girlie Girl with a bit of tomboy in me...LOL You never know what you like until you try it...RIGHT? But it would need to be somewhere we can talk and get to know each other on our first date. And if you are the romantic type that likes to bring flowers,, my favorite is Orchids ;-)
