About Me

I am a self proclaimed nerd. I work at a non-profit organization teaching school kids about the environment and how they fit into it. Every once is awhile I find myself doing something on the weekend that I did at work a few days earlier. Not a bad life.However, I live in a small town and it is difficult to meet new people. All the folks I run into on my weekend "nerding" trips are retirees who can now give more time to their hobbies. I don't go to bars, unless there's a good band playing. I am an early to bed, early to rise type of person. I would rather get up really early to go on a birding trip than stay out late at a party. I will admit that I tried the online dating thing once before and made a few good friends. I'm going to try again to form new friendships and possibly find something a little more. My first goal is to find someone who is willing to drive a little bit out of the way to find a rare bird or check out some old growth forest. Goal number two is a long term relationship with someone who I'm attracted to. So I'm working on goal number one now. Want to join me? The first date would have to be someplace public, just in case you are crazy. Food is always good, I'm gluten free so finding good food out is always awesome. I like to stay outside as much as possible, so maybe a hike through the woods or just sitting by the ocean (after I know you're not crazy).
