I'm outgoing outspoken and outdoorsy! Speaking of work I rarely get to do the things I love because I am a workaholic. I'm a single mom of two so I have to be! I'm a go getter. I get what I want because there is no other option for me. My children 15 & 12 are active in sports so that's fun to watch them excel and have good grades too! Anything I haven't mentioned fell free to ask! Surprise me;)

Flossing is important. Laughing is mandatory. Perfection is impossible. I'm the girl next door. I'm gainfully employed.-up. I love what I do. The nature of my job has me traveling a lot - a regular jet-setter, if you will - I often stay up late and I look forward to sleeping in on the weekends unless, of course, there's an adventure to be had. Often being on west coast time plays a role in that. I love being outdoors in any weather that's under 70 degrees and not humid (i.e. Fall - Spring). Grew up hiking the White Mountains, and love spending my free time exploring local biking and hiking trails with my pooch, getting my yoga on, and/or hitting the beach or lake for some campfire action. 'cuz campfires rule. As do s'mores. I have a great sense of humor and it's likely I'm smarter than you are. I’m drawn to people who have brains, humor and wit, spunk, self-confidence (not narcissism), resilience, strength of character, a willingness to learn and be taught (humility).I will not make your lemonade for you but, I promise to provide the sugar (or artificial sweetener, if that’s your thing. The Giving Tree is still one of my favorite books.Movies: Most [[John Cusack]] movies, Princess Bride, [[A Room with a View]], Big Lebowski, Y Tu Maman Tambien, Mary and Max, Requiem for A Dream, Zombieland, Fear &If you hit shuffle on my ipod any one of the following (and then some) would come up: [[]][[Toad the Wet Sprocket]][[]], the Kooks, the Cure, Antony & the Johnsons, Animal Collective, Trixie Whitley... Yes, I just admitted that.[[NPR]] He's my boyfriend. He treats me way better than Jose ever did. Low-key, and it usually involves some beverages and good conversation.

So, I'm cynically optimistic and thought I would give this a try! I've realized that I needed more balance in my life, especially when it came to relationships. I've spent the last couple years focused on building my career and what little time I had left I spent with family and friends. I'm settled for the time being-- I'm at a good place with my career, bought a house and rescued a dog (they both definitely keep me busy). I'm outgoing and confident, I have a type A personality and I'm a real people person--so good conversation is a must. I'm caring, but definitely can be sarcastic--I have to keep my dark humor in check. I'm pretty liberal, and not offended too easily--I get my news from the Daily Show and NPR. I'm somewhat of a foodie and definitely like trying new places and cuisines. I love being outside, and definitely look forward to enjoying the fall weather. Since I work longer days during the week I like to take the dog out for walking trails and hiking. I'm into going on road trips, going to flea markets, wineries, museums, or quirky places off the beaten path. I'm just as content staying home and watching movies-- I love the neighborhood I live in and like to be more active in community events. Music-wise I like "old" R&B, Hip Hop, Rap-- the new stuff is cheesy, I listen to pop and pretty much anything on the radio. I just have to put it out there that I have NO interest in WWE or NASCAR-- and I really don't think I could fake it. Otherwise I'm into sports--love football, basketball, baseball. So I'm looking to find someone with similar interests (but I'm open-minded, opposites do attract) likes to have fun, wants to be outside and is kind of handy (or at least willing to try)...and definitely good conversation. Simple things-- meeting for coffee, taking the dog for a hike...or something totally different-- I once had a first date to feed the ducks at the museum, simple and creative.
