About Me

About me. I think I'm a fun, fairly easy going lady. I love to laugh, even if it is at my own exspense. I'm kind, and I would do just about anything for people that I care about. Am I unique? That really depends on who you ask. We are all unique in the fact that we are different, but would I stand out in a crowd? Probably not, I think i'm pretty great though, as far as personality goes. I do have a chronis illess, though it's not deadly or contagious, it is a part of me, and I both love and hate it. I have had type 1 diabetes for over 25 years. It can be a pain in the bum, and kidneys, and eyes, and fingertips; however, it has been a part of my life since I was very young and living with this disease has helped mold my character for sure. I am huge advocate for type 1 diabetes, and love educating people on the disease. I can be perfectly content sitting at home reading or watching a movie, but I also love being outside, watching a game,camping, sitting around a fire with my friends and family. On that note my friends, and especially my family are VERY important to me. Everything good that I am, is because of my family, and I love them all so much. My line of work has nothing to do with my education. I am a certified Pastr Chef, however, I work for a funeral home and actually live above said funeral home. I just kind of fell into this bussiness and I love it. I'm not all creepy and gothic like some may expect, but being with the familes that have just dealt with the loss of a loved one, and being able to help them during one of the most vulnerable times in their life... It's a pretty awesome thing. Also, my schedule is crazy, a lot of guys can't deal with it, I have to be in my house every day from 10pm to 9am to answer phones. So if this is going to be an issue, I'm not right for you, as I do find it annoying at times, I love my job, so a guy I'm dating would have to be able to deal with a curfew! As far as goals and aspirations go, I just want to be a success. To me that doesn't mean making millions and driving the newest model upscale car. Rather, that I do my job well, and I am happy. Yes, money makes some aspects of life easier, but it really isn't everything, and people who think it is, well they aren't the kind of people I want to spend my time with. I'm looking for an all around good guy, and I believe you can tell a lot about a person by how they act when they have everything, and how they treat others when they have nothing. Hopefully I can find someone that can meet my standards. Oh, and apparently, my lack of wanted to make out with a guy on a second date is seen as me not having any passion.... I see it as having values... if that's a deal breaker, I'll survive :) Lunch or dinner and a round of mini golf, or a walk through the Natural History Museum, or the zoo. Something fun that gives us time to chat and get to know eachother better!

    I am not easy going or laid back because that's just a thing people say. If we're all so laid back the world would be a quieter, happier place. I *** to be realistic, logical, flexible and confident. I like to avoid drama and bullsh*t and just say the truth, Brutal honesty. It saves time to just say what I mean. I get a lot of reactions, don't misunderstand, I'm not mean, just honest and you aren't hearing what you expect/want. The negativity is yours, not mine. I'm worthy of sentences :) I'm a photographer. I'm artistic, creative and really nerdy about it. I get excited about cameras and climbing and really enjoy pushing myself and my cameras to their limits. I rock climb, bike, run or go to the gym at least once a day. If you are not active it will be a problem. I am amazing, smart, passionate, opinionated, talkative, motivated, independent, hard working and I always finish what I start. I'm extremely active and do some kind of exercise at least 5 days a week, I try to eat healthy and don't watch a lot of TV, if its not on netflix or in my huge DVD collection I probably haven't seen it. I prefer to be outside or at least moving around and experiencing life. I tend to like things that are a little dangerous/scary, fast, dirty and of course awesome! I work 2 jobs one is the night shift and the other is on weekends. I have a different schedule than most people, and no I am not free on the weekends. I don't like to drink, and don't drink often, I'll hang out with friends drinking but if you like to go to lots of bars/clubs and party and get trashed a lot we won't get along, don't bother. I'd rather go biking, climbing, hiking, kayaking ... and then go find a cold beer and good food afterwards. Less like college night more like bike party!I'm looking for someone who fits into my life not someone who wants to change it. I am content and mostly happy with my life and it took me a long time to get here. Fit in to my life or improve it, if you can't do that at the very least keep your comments to yourself, I'm not looking for suggestions and advice and at this point in our lives you have to earn the right to do so.
