Je recherche à rencontrer quelqu'un qui me prendrait comme je suis, tout comme je le prendrais comme il est. Si c'est pour être dans une relation où on te dis : "J'aime toutes ces qualités chez toi, mais pas ces défauts là"...Je crois qu'on est pas dû pour se rencontrer. Je ne veux surtout pas paraitre aigrie, parce que je sais que les vrais bons gars ça existe, mais sachez juste que je vous laisse les femmes contrôlantes et hystériques chroniques...Pas sûre que vous y gagnez au change !Une relation c'est pas comme une boite de Lifesaver. Tu ne choisis pas de prendre tous les bonbons, sauf les verts parce que tu les trouve moins bons.C'est une question de maturité et une question de respect envers l'autre. Just make it a good one, eh? I manage a pet supply store and am definitely an animal lover. I have a few pets of my own, and also worked in rescue for four years. I have been on this site before and have had some great conversations with some interesting people, and if that's all I can hope for this time around, as well, that's fine with me. I am not looking to get into a relationship with someone just for the sake of it, there has to be common interest.I'd like to point out straight away that I am an atheist, and cannot honestly see myself involved with a spiritual or religious person. I'll befriend anybody, but dating is different. I also don't go in for astrology, homeopathy (or most other forms of alternative medicine), reincarnation, ghosts, the afterlife, magic, god(s), or other things which rely on faith as opposed to (or in spite of) evidence. I value intelligence, honesty, humor, good conversation, a thirst for knowledge, a love of animals and a desire to learn and grow as a person. I enjoy being with my family and friends, though it would be a lie to say that I am a social butterfly. I have my close knit group and from time to time I meet someone who I connect with. I will always be honest and tell you if I don't think we're connecting and hope for the same from you. I also hope that we can be adults about it and not take it personally. And by we, I mean you ;-) I understand that not everyone is cut out to be friends with one another and will not be offended if you say that you don't think we're compatible. I only say this because I've had some people get upset and confrontational when I've said as much to them, and I've never been rude about it. I wouldn't appreciate my time being knowingly wasted and don't want to waste anyone elses, that's all.I love music.;I have some TV shows I really enjoy, though I watch most of them on DVD, as I am not a channel surfer.British panel shows are also wonderful. QI, 8 out of 10 Cats, Would I Lie To You?, Nevemind the Buzzcocks, Mock the Week, Big Fat Quiz, etc. Such good fun.I'm also a huge fan of stand up comedy.As far as movies go, I don't go for a specific genre. Tarantino is one of my favourite directors. My favourite kinds of movies are good ones. The last movie I saw in the cinema was Kick Ass 2, and I try to go with friends at least once a month. I have a collection of close to ***movies, always growing. My favourites recently were The Great Gatsby, Cloud Atlas, Now You See Me and This Is The End. If you've actually made it to the end of this, I am impressed. Well, for starters, I am a case manager for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. I've been doing this for over 5 months and so far, I really enjoy it. Growing up, I always wanted to help individuals with special needs and have definitely been given opportunities to do so. I also help with a chat line for teens who need someone to talk to (depressed, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, etc).I LOVE kids! I don't have any of my own, but I do spend a lot of time writing letters to children in different countries with Compassion International. I am a child advocate and love to help out. I sponsor a couple kids to help with their education, clothing, food, etc. My little cousin saw my interest in this and now she writes letters with me. I love that I was able to help inspire her to be so compassionate.I enjoy sports (tennis, hockey, baseball, anything really), music, and movies. I love spending time at the gym, going to various races, and spending time volunteering.I am hoping to find someone I can be with and settle down eventually. I love my family more than anything and would really like to be with someone who is involved with their family like I am with mine. I want to be with someone who is supportive, trustworthy, has a good sense of humor (I can be quite sarcastic), and loves kids. Going out somewhere fun to get to know one another. I really don't want to meet at either person's house. I'd like to have the first place be some place fun....go to the zoo and be a kid again, to the park, for a walk to be able to talk to one another, sporting event, or do something completely different. It doesn't have to be the typical dinner date! The more different, the better.
