I am in the 4th year of my Pre-Medicine and once I finish I am planning to go to medical school to study natural medicine. I am so passionate about prevention. I currently work at a naturopathic/cancer clinic that inspires me everyday. I volunteer my time in a few different places. I am a Doula on the side (birth coach), there is nothing more rewarding than helping another woman realize how amazing she can be. I have my reiki level 1...true health is a harmony between mind, body and soul. I work a little everyday at being in control of my thoughts and the power they hold, whether it is through still or active meditation, taking that time to re-focus makes a difference! :-) I refuse to settle on anything....I believe in fighting for what you want out of life...and that we make our own reality. I am a firm believer in the power of Karma...if you love the universe and everything in it, it will love you back...I love watching movies, riding my horse, learning to play the guitar, clearing my head with a solid hike or workout, or spending time with family and friends.I am passionate about life and living it everyday! I am passionate about people, and about change...about life's beautiful surprises and unpredictability. I love singing, music, hiking, food, holistic health, and helping someone everyday. My world wouldn't be complete without my education, and learning something new at least once a day. It would seem that finding that best friend and companion to share life with is more challenging than I had origionally thought...lol Apparently being a 26 year old woman that is witty, sweet, independant and goal oriented is not for everyone. In all seriousness i'm not an unrealistic person I am well aware that things dont just happen overnight I'm not willing to rush into things to settle down but what I would like is to work on building and friendship next maybe date and from there if there seems to be that spark why not see if we share the capability to build more....if its not there then lets call it what it is...time spent meeting someone new and taking the time to learn someone elses unique view of the world...I'm fun outgoing love to laugh and make ppl laugh...I can be a homebody but at the same time I fully enjoy exploring the beautiful province I live in and beyond..A few simple things that I'd require of someone I'm looking for is that you have a job(I know to normal ppl this sounds a little ridiculous but you'd be surprised ;P ), not party persistently( i enjoy a good party like the best of them but theres a time and a place). Life is definatly something to be celebrated and I dont intend on wasting my time feeling sorry for what I dont possess but I will absolutely be thankful for what I do have. Just a few tidbits about myself:- I'm a geek/nerd - I love improving my scientific knowledge and reading up on new innovations- I love palaeontology/volcanology - the second is obviously volcanoes, but studying vulcans would be equally exciting (love Star Trek!)- Love hockey - Go Sharks Go! If you're a Canucks fan, let the rivalry begin!- pubs - better than clubs- coffee shops - Sometimes it's nice to relax and hang out- movies/video games - gotta get off my feet at some point- cooking/baking - I also love food and I'll eat just about anything. I'm the "eat well Monday to Friday, but weekends become a write-off"-- not always but somehow friends make that the case- Poutine -..nom nom nom- Travelling - I'd love to explore the world, just haven't had many opportunities yet. My biggest adevnture was moving out west which just happened a month ago!- I don't like clingy people. I value people's personal space. If we go places and you feel like velcro all night...le sigh***of my bestest friends is a guy, get over it.I'm quite the extroverted person so if very social bubbly people scare you, well can't say I didn't warn you. I have a broad sense of humor; if you don't get sarcasm, run away, run away!There's life's big adventures and the little enjoyable moments...I appreciate both.
