I am a hopeless romantic who just went through a bad breakup but I am looking to make some friends, preferably of the nerdy/geek variety. As to my geek interests, I really enjoyed playing Magic: The Gathering although it has been 5 years since I've played in a sanctioned match. I even like big band music and old crooners. For movies I've been on a kick where I don't want to watch anything too depressing. Movies for me are a way to escape, not to be reminded of past situations. Pretty much any fantasy and gory movie I'm going to like (if I haven't already seen it).For books, I just finished catching up on Song of Fire and Ice.N. I like playing video games even though they've been gathering dust the last few months. I'm just a normal girl who likes to read and spend time with friends and family. I manage a small office that does pay day loans. I may not love what I do all the time, but I love the people I work with! I spend most of my time at work laughing with my co-workers which is a good thing because I love to laugh!I'm very close to my family. I also have a great group of friends that I love spending time with. We'll meet up for dinner and stuff but every now and then we like to go to karaoke nights and that is one of my favorite things! I like all kinds of music as long as I can sing along. I wouldn't say I'm a great singer, I just like to do it.I don't really have any other musical skills but I do like to be creative with painting and writing. I also have friends that like to play table top games and we have the best time with those! I haven't had the chance to play a lot of them, just a couple but I've enjoyed the ones I've played. Like I said before, I love to read! Reading has always been a big part of my life and my books have pretty much taken over my apartment. I have actually recently gone back to school. My big plan is that I want to get a degree in education and teach while I work on getting a masters degree in library science. My dream is to one day work at a public library with their programs for illiteracy and programs that reach out to kids.Nostalgia goes a long way with me. So when it comes to my favorite books, movies, bands, anything like that, they usually tend to be the things I experienced as a child or through high school. And just so you know...Favorite Book: The Silver Chair by C.S. He is a boxer and he is everything to me! I have five tattoos, three of which are pretty small so you probably wont ever notice them. I am an ex smoker and I'm not really big on drinking. I will have a few beers when I go for karaoke nights and I enjoy a glass of wine every now and then. But I hardly ever keep alcohol at my apartment because I just don't even think about it. I can't think of what else to share so I guess if you want to know something just ask.
