Im a smartass and once ppl understand my personality they end up liking me. Im never disrespectful about it unless u deserve it. My main focuses now are my daughter first and then my career. I think just a cup of coffee or drink is a good first date to see if we click. However, if that goes well, I think doing something active on the next date is a fun idea. Anything from miniature golf or bowling, to going to a museum or a stroll in the park. Sitting at a nice restaurant (the typical first date) can be fun, but I feel that getting out and actually doing something helps the conversation and is a lot more fun and memorable!
