I would like my match and I to be very compatible; easy conversations and laughter. I would hope that we would share things we both enjoy, share our families and friends, enjoy quiet times together, be understanding, supportive and patient with each other, put "us" ahead of things less important. I want to enjoy life on top of meeting my personal responsibilities - life's too short not to!!I like all kinds of fun! For me it can be as simple as just visiting with friends and family and having some great laughs. I also enjoy dinners out, the movies, walks, local festivals, games/cards or day trips around the area.I have lots of favorite things I enjoy and I'm always happy to experience new ones - in fact, I want to do that at this point in my life. Anything that we would both enjoy and that would give us an opportunity to talk and see how well we hit it off.

I like to read others profiles...looking for that one guy that will captivate my attention. I enjoy helping others but have trouble asking for help. I have strong family values. I live alone...My daughter and son are grown with families of their own. Family and friends are very important to me. I am pretty low maintenance! Dont wear much make up and I usually just let my hair do what it wants. I like taking short road trips. I love the beach. I am a positive person and choose to surround myself with positive people. If you're a player please dont waste your time on me. Im not the one...

As to movies, here are just a few of my favorites: Shawshank Redemption, The Bucket List, Man on Fire, Training Day, The Fugitive, U.S. Old Westerns! I don't care to watch horror, sci-fi, cultish type movies.Primary TV Stations: History, Discovery, Food, HGTV. For a simple meet up, coffee always works. I don't consider sitting and having a cup of coffee a date though. As to a 'real' first date, a movie is not a good option because one can't converse; the same goes for live music/loud places. Now a comedy club can be a good choice because one can talk before the show and one also gets a definite feel of the sense of humor one's date has. THAT is very important in my book!
