I've been divorced 5 years and have enjoyed the independence of being single and raising my kids since - both now college students. I am ready to start living life more for myself and to find someone to enjoy it with again. I really need my potential partner to have a sense of humor. He must make me laugh and think I'm funny too (when I'm trying to be, aaand sometimes when I'm not, and on those rare occasions when I don't mean to be ;-) I tend to tease and give my significant other a hard time... I suppose sarcasm is my way of being funny - and something I just can't help! I try to stay fit and healthy by bike-riding and walking for exercise, and hope to find someone who does the same. My favorite time of year is summer, and I enjoy outdoor exercise, swimming and sunbathing. Eating out - love italian, steak, and seafood restaurants, shopping and going to movies (or staying in w/ DVD's - grilled steaks and red wine) are what I like to do on weekends. I love various types of music- top 40 pop, current country hits, and classic rock stations are my preset radio stations. I'm told I act youthful - but maybe they're trying to tell me I need to grow up... First date would be to meet up at a local quaint restaurant/bar. We would talk and learn about each other over a drink or two, to see if there could be some sort of chemistry and connection. This first date should not be overdone, and success would mean both parties say goodbye... but leave each other yearning for a second date!

I stay fit by mostly dancing around my home; I go to the gym only two months of the year; January and February, so that I can shed the holiday cheer and be presentable for the beach! lol! I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I consider myself somewhat adventurous, so I am open to new experiences. Life is after all for the living! Although I am a parent, I am at a point in my life where I`ve become somewhat more jealous of my newly earned free time and have no desire to travel down that path again. I`ve raised my children....now it`s me time!Cheers! The first date really isn't a date...it's a meeting. It often feels like a job interview.! That being said the first meeting should be in a public place ; an outside patio perhaps now that the weather allows and have a drink while we review each others resumes looking for compatabilities,LOL!

hmmm a description of myself and who I am, I am first a very honest,giving ,understanding woman,I am confidedent in who I am and what I want, I am a very loving person I tend to speak before thinking sometimes (opps) it's who I am, I have no problem letting someone know how I feel,I am very passionate about life and love to be outdoors espeically in the summer (when I'm not working)I can dress up or be comfortable in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, .. I'm a mom and very proud of my children (who are now grown and gone from home) but we are very close , my family is 'very important to me ,I am a very caring woman , independant and a hard worker , love the beach ,enjoy the company of friends , ... the most important thing about myself is that I am down to earth ,I beleive its never to late to find contentment in ones self ..but believe spending time with someone special would be so much better then being alone ..even if time was limited due to work schedules ... ahhh the first date ... I am thinking that a good cup of coffee and conversation is the best begining , but if there is a date i think meeting in a public place would be the thing to do, lunch, maybe some dinner ,if the conversation sparks interests then we could look forward to a second meeting ...
