I think I am ready to open my heart again. It's kind of scary to start over at 51, but I know that out there somewhere is a kind, warm, nature-loving man of integrity who is looking for someone like me. I'm in a transition phase in my life right now, trying to find the balance between putting my time, energy and passion into activities and people which will bring meaning to the 2nd half of my life vs. the practicalities of everyday existence. Good communication is the foundation of every successful relationship, and by not making the effort on the first try, leads me to believe that you are not at all interested in this integral piece of the puzzle. Just sayin' I enjoy a nice walk and talk for a first date. I think being able to go for a walk with someone because it is a little more casual and sometimes the things you see along the way can fill in those awkward silences that can sometimes happen on a first date. I think you can usually tell after an initial meeting if the person is someone you would like to get to know (or not).
