Greetings,Well this is a bit awkward writing about oneself, but I guess it needs to be done. I'm a very young, active and tall 54 year old lady who loves to travel (especially internationally), read, hike, walk, ski, cook, write and have fun with my nieces and nephews. I don't have kids of my own, nor do I have boundary, health or emotional issues. I'm kind of a happy-go-lucky gal with no baggage, except the kind you check into airlines. I love dogs, but don't have one because I travel too much and wouldn't want to have him live in a kennel. I do "borrow" my sister's kids and dog regularly, and we call them my "part-time" kids and pet.I was in a solid 30 year relationship (most of the time married), but lost him to cancer in early ***, so this demonstrates I know how to love and be loved:-). I've just recently started dating again, so it's all rather new to me, but I must admit I've had a lot of fun, though I haven't yet met Mr. Right. I can honestly say that I enjoyed meeting every man I've dated though, and that they were all nice men. They all wanted to go out with me again, so that was very flattering and fun.I love adventure and to try new things, though I must admit I didn't like zip-lining when I tried it earlier this year. The weather was perfect and the course was amazing, so I'll have to blame it on not liking to go at high speeds while being at ***feet up in the air. I would have preferred to do a nice long hike. I've been fortunate enough to have visited lots of countries, but there's lots more cultures and countries I still want to explore. I think intelligence and wit is very attractive, much more important than whether you have hair or sculpted abs (though I wouldn't complain about sculpted abs either). My number one desire for a good date is good conversation. I am a business lady, so if you have some business background I think I would find that attractive as well.I'm looking for a long-term relationship, but not desperately :-). I'd rather be on my own than be with someone who's not a good (okay, great) match. Hey there!Well, I am back and willing to try this again. I just know that the perfect guy for me is out there waiting to be discovered.I am a fun, adventurous woman who is willing to try anything once, as long as it is not life-threatening. Skydiving is out. I love the outdoors, in all seasons, and can usually be talked into trying anything once.I love my family to pieces, two married kids with two precious grandchildren. They are my whole life. I also love animals so they fill in the void when my kids are not around.I work hard Monday to Friday in health care looking after very sick people so on the weekends I like to unwind and yes, sometimes even just relax.I am working towards a leaner, more healthier me and am pleased with my progress, but know that I still have a little work to do yet. My target date for the new me is Dec ***, so really, that's not too far off.I love cuddling, holding hands, movies, live theater, concerts, walks in the park, drives in the county, CFL/NHL/Goldeyes, going for dinner or cooking at home. I have my own home so puttering in the garden and around the house is also a hobby of mine. Just jump in the car and head out, without a destination or a time frame, enjoying whatever comes our way. I love to laugh but more importantly, hear the people I love, laugh.The only music that I cannot do is rap/hip hop, otherwise given the atmosphere, I am up for listening to just about anything. I have to admit though, I lean more to country/soft rock.I am a very positive person who sees the good in just about everything and is pleased how my life has turned out.
