Going to a loud bar or club, just doesn't strike me as the best way to get to know someone on a personal level! I would have to say that my idea of a first date, would be going to a coffee shop/bistro or even a restraunt; someplace that is more relaxed and quiet. Enjoying each others company, learning about each other, etc.
