This is my second round of meetville....I must be crazy or desperate! HahaI prefer casual and would rather spend time with family and friends, but not opposed to getting dressed up if the situation calls for it. Not big on the bar scene, but do enjoy happy hour, a good patio with a band, and a stroll around the dance floor on occasion. Enjoy all outdoor activities....hunting, fishing, Frio river...prefer summer to winter...could sit out by a fire every evening. Like spending time working in the yard or doing a home improvement project, live on 6 acres so mowing in the summer is a chore...love to cook indoors and out, make some awesome crawfish. Have 3 children(23, 15, ***and stay involved in their lives and activities...no drama with the ex. Really laid back, simple guy and don't care for drama nor conflict...just want to enjoy life.I have a succesful career in the rail industry, been involved in this business for 23 years. I manage operations for a company that provides railcar repair services... I work hard, but my job affords me a lot of flexibility and fortunate to office from my home....really enjoy the people and culture in that state.As mentioned, I enjoy hunting and being in the outdoors. It's ok if you don't, but if your totally opposed to the idea then we are likely not a match....I don't however use it as a "reason to hang with the boys", it has and will always be a chance to spend time with my kids and family. My sons and daughter have all enjoyed the whole deer lease experience and we are fortunate to have a ***acre place ready for adventure year round. I truly believe that a relationship has to have friendship, laughter, and genuine putting aside yourself for another in order to last...this I've learned through the school of hard knocks and past mistakes. Doesn't mean that you have to be the other's "reason for existing", in fact I really don't want to feel that kind of responsibility nor put it on someone else....having some seperation and different interest should be celebrated and makes seeing each other all that much sweeter...looking for someone who would enjoy a front porch swing or sitting by the fire pit talking and laughing at the events of our day.As for the idea of a relationship....I would love to find the right fit and be in a relationship, but not looking to rush into anything, I'm very content with being single and do enjoy the independence...not wanting to be a serial dater either tho. I do believe in "love at first sight" and "instant chemistry", but believe that lasting love is nurtured and grown over time....however it doesn't mean that I couldn't find the one that immediately captures my attention and causes me to act like some goofy teenager...lolI know that we all have some form of drama in our lives, it's unavoidable, but it's more about how you perservere and overcome it....does it consume you or do you just roll with the flow? I am a drama/ conflict phobe and will avoid it at most cost, don't like it and don't want a steady dose of it in my life....that doesn't mean that I'm weak, in fact mess with my kids and you will have more than you ever wanted...I just simply want to enjoy life and the person I'm with, find the humor in the situation and look for the positives rather than a negative.     Hello fellow pond mate! I've chosen a few tidbits to tell you about myself. I guess this would be the "bait", right? I know, kind of cheesy, but just trying to keep with the theme here....; guitar), I am pretty techy and can fix almost anything, I have a 22 year old daughter & 2 year old grandson that live with me along with a yellow lab. They are all a great blessing to me and I enjoy spending time with them. I am already exposing my grandson to drums and he is all over it!
