There's a time to take center stage and a time to step back, a time to listen and a time to speak, a time to give and a time to take. I like performing on-stage and public speaking but also enjoy quieter, more intimate moments. For me, life is about finding balance.I believe the same balance is necessary for a healthy relationship. I enjoy an occasional "me" time to go along with the "we" times. I enjoy the company of someone special in my life AND I need a little time for myself.I work on the premise that I am not the center of the universe (wouldn't that be nice!). Everything doesn't revolve around me. I'm looking for a woman who believes the same about herself. I enjoy the great outdoors and music. Most of my activities are centered around those two pursuits. I enjoy hiking, biking and any activity in or near water. I play several *** write music as well. I'm also a published writer.I enjoy traveling and dining out. I don't necessarily have a preference for a specific cuisine...variety is the spice of life. It's more about the entire experience...the company, the setting, the mood. I'll try anything once. A meal shared with a special someone is always a better experience. I'm not a fanatic about it, but I try to eat healthy. I choose organic whenever possible.I'm very creative, thoughtful, articulate and sincere. Professionally, I'm an corporate investigator/interrogator. I am very confident in my abilities but am always very low key about that. In group settings, I'm often chosen to be the leader, probably because I'm not afraid to tackle challenges or difficult moments.I have become increasingly aware of the importance of having faith in a higher authority. I am active in my church and am a bassist in a contemporary Christian band. I've done volunteer work for an international humanitarian aid organization for 11 years, managing the local chapter for the last several years. I have two wonderful children, ages 14 and 19. I am very funny and witty and love to banter....better bring your "A" game!Ok, enough about me. Here's what I'm looking for; you must know who you are and what you like; what makes you tick and what you want from life. You must like (love) yourself. If you don't, no one else can. If you're not there yet, work on it and get back to me. I'm not looking for perfection- that doesn't exist. Show me your flaws (within reason), I'll show you mine. Be able to laugh at yourself (because I probably will).Having common interests is important but I also want to see what makes you unique. Offer me something different. Expand my horizons. Take a walk with me, not because I asked you, but because you want to. If you're looking for someone to make you happy (because right now you're not) that's not me. Happiness is a decision, an attitude that only you control. It's nothing I can create. Bring it to me to share and enrich. If you enjoy the outdoors; hiking, kayaking, biking, etc, that's a big plus. If you take time to embrace the simple things in life (without needing constant distractions to occupy your time), that's a huge plus. If you have lots of money and want to spend it on a man, that's very good to! (joking)...although that would be good. (let's talk).You don't need to work out 3 hours a day but you must make some effort to be healthy and active. Again, it's about balance.Oh, and before I forget to mention it, you need to know how to be sensual. When those moments present themselves, a look, a gesture, a well placed whisper...Be full of yourself in these three ways; Thoughtful, Mindful and Respectful. Lastly, you must be honest...with yourself, the world and me.Oh, and one more thing; people think I'm in my 30's. I generally don't date older women. I do require proof of age. LOL A nice conversation over a great meal and drinks perhaps followed by some live music, or a stroll through town to continue the conversation.
