First dates are tough. some feel like a job interview at best, i prefer to go somewhere public, quiet, but not too reserved. a walk to a coffee shop or restaurant is always a nice way to break the ice with someone. afterwards maybe see a live band or just go somewhere and people watch..sometimes its better than cable.
