I hope to meet a woman and have a relationship that turns into this: We love each other without reserve and without condition. We call or text just to say "I'm thinking of you"...we kiss goodbye and we kiss hello, We hold hands and you can feel me touch your back as we walk...you are playful, winking at me from across the room or swatting me on the butt when passing by...both of us knowing what will come later...appreciating when times are good because we've both been through bad....we are faithful without question but also have fun on boy's/girl's night out...we respect each other, working through conflicts, we don't say things in anger that can't be taken back...we use our words to build each other up, not to take one down...we recognize that men and women are different and are ok with it...you let me fix things when they are broken, I open the car door for you, and hug you if you cry...even if I don't understand why ;-)...we spend holidays with family and have friends over to watch football...we talk about religion, politics, sports, work, current events, the neighbors (ha ha), we don't always have the same opinion and that's ok...we've both made mistakes and that's ok too...we look forward to going to church together on Sundays...I take care of you when you're sick and you remind me about doctor visits...we are financially responsible and don't live beyond our means, we workout together and I fully appreciate you doing all the "girly" things like shopping, hair and pedicures, while thinking “it's for you”, but hoping it's mostly to look good for me...I want you to be proud of me as much as I am of you....I tell you that you are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen...At night I hold you as we fall asleep together, when you are in my arms you feel safe and protected...in the morning we wake up and start another day.I love to travel, attending sporting events, exercising, shooting guns, nice evening out, doing nothing, shopping, cuddling, watching movies, cooking, dancing, concerts, sports, church, family etc. By being long-term partners (&, yes eventually married) I mean sharing dreams and goals and being each other’s best friend, encourager, sounding board, trusted advisor, companion, playmate, & lover.I love great conversation, anything outdoors, and listening to music…especially contemporary Christian, classic rock, jazz, 70's ***'s music and country.     Throwing my hat into the ring is a bit unnerving since.... I need my hat! I can only tell you how I see myself, so keep in mind, this opinion is skewed, and a rough exercise of self-actualization. I think of myself as flexible (mind not body), but goal oriented. My energy level is high, and my interests are wide. I consider myself well educated and I have depth of knowledge in some areas. In other areas, I am clueless, so the pink wedge in Trivial pursuit is particularly hard for me to get. I like to pay attention and think about big ideas and trends.; one of my favorite quotes is “Humanity is a race between education and catastrophe” (it looks like we are losing that one).To list all my attributes and try to describe my “ideal” match would be futile. There are so many intangibles that make the exercise incomplete. It’s kind of writing a business plan…as soon as you finish it, you put it away and never refer to it. And if you do peak at it, there are only disappointments. Life is a forever moving landscape, trying to stick to my prior self, or pretending to know what I want, isn’t for me. My relationship with you is multi-dimensional, so to try to script what experience, activity or occasion will make for good times might be relevant, but in my mind, the pathway of discovery is more fun.I will give you a little of my history....I was raised in an academic family. We didn’t have a lot of money, but we had an intellectual richness. My parents divorced when I was in college, and that didn’t affect me much. I have one sister with husband and two kids. My career has been rewarding, and I have many objectives yet to be fulfilled. Like most, some key individuals in my life have left me with some gifts.
