About Me

Hello and thanks for taking the time to read my profile. I'm a licensed therapist specializing in adult and child therapy. Much of my work is with military families.Making a difference in the community and being of service to families impacted by war is really fulfilling. I have lived and interesting and textured life. In the past, I have performed professionally as a magician, traveled extensively and saw a lot of the world - (no sequins, animals or large boxes involved - I carried my act in a shoulder bag). I am a formally trained chef (out of respect for Chefs everywhere, I use this term generically and with humility) and love all kinds of good food. So, I hear I'm in pretty good shape for a guy "my age."- distance running is over due to injury but still train regularly.Love all outdoor activities, music, theater, or relaxing at home - I don't always have to be on the move or "doing something" to be at ease or comfortable and appreciate someone who can relax and enjoy the sunset or a drive in the mountains as much as activity in large groups. At first, I may appear quiet and reserved but I see it as a form of economy.I don't have to be the center of attention but can become the life of the party without pushing or demanding it. I am fine with allowing others to take that role.I value trust and loyalty, am patient and giving, probably to a fault and support and encourage the dreams of others - but am not a fool. I mean, I will give anyone the coat off of my back, have done it many times in life and will again - but not if a loved one or I need it more. The nice stuff is fine, but the trailer and river were the best. So, I guess you could say I am adaptable and resilient.Chasing after the next shiny thing is not my style- the bright, shinny. sparkling thing in front of me can be enough.Sorry to see Peter Falk die, he was great. All Monty Python =My intellectual interests include, study of and "work" on the 4th Way, read Gurgjieff, Ouspensky, et. Waking up is a commitment and something of a ****, isn't it? .study of sociology, world history, comparative religions and science.I also love graphic arts and am admittedly a computer geek.Well, that's enough -Hope to hear from you or back from you if I have written. Meet somewhere and talk, walk, sit, be quiet, laugh, go into a store, pick up some food, walk to a park and prepare something to eat Ask the homeless to cook for us and give them something to eat for their work.Lock ourselves in a room and brainstorm on a "million dollar idea" and not leave until we have a solid concept.Pack a single bag, tell no one we are leaving, pick a random spot on the map, get on a Greyhound Bus and go.Go to cemetery and do EVP recordingsOr, just meet at mutually agreeable spot, talk for while and hope we see each other again.

"What you seek is seeking you" Rumi "Love as I love" Jesus (#11)So many great teachers, so much to learn... So much to be grateful for...My 4 healthy children, my health, my circumstances, my gifts and talents. Just how do we say thank-you, and to whom? Perhaps by remembering the golden rule, we best show our gratitude. I'm runnin w/ that for now - stay tuned..."There is a very fine line between being brave and being stupid" Emmerson (But riding that wave is never dull!)I've asked some friend's how they'd describe me: Playful, positive, bright, loving, impatient, kind, intense, hard to describe, loving, good friend, opinionated, authentic, inquisitive, and a gentleman. I know I'm supposed to only include the 'good' stuff. Perhaps they should have included nonconformist! Favorite books - Favorite movies - Forest Gump, Crazy Stupid Love, Dr. Zhavago. Love to cook (trained by my Ukranian grandmother), bike, ski, hike and back pack. I adore children and treasure the time I have with them. "Children come through us, not from us" Gibran (From 'The Prophet') I'd like to learn how to play tennis and golf."It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential, is invisisble to the eye." Exupery I've been running my bsns since '87 and teaching Yoga to children and adults for 14 yrs (as a hobby). I'm in great shape and looking for someone fit enough to come out and play. Not looking for a perfect body or anything close - just want someone who takes similar pride in her appearance like I do and can participate with me in outdoor activities. I work and play hard. And find time to smell the roses or whatever else might be in bloom. I'm still excited about most everything life has to offer. In this moment, I'm most excited about the possibility we are. Are you?"Patience, is the last lesson of the master" Lao TsuIn the interest of mutual time, let's get some things out of the way: I'm not 6' tall or super handsome or from a famous or rich family, or perfect in any way. I'm a decent & kind man with traditional values and a zest for life! Most of all, I'm not into behaving in a politically correct manner (some professional circumstances not withstanding). We are all different; and those differences are often funny, informative and interesting! Let's celebrate our diversity by firstly acknowledging how diverse we are! I don't do any drugs and not interested in mtg someone who does. I'm affectionate and looking for same - I like to hold hands and hug in public. I don't care what color you are or what labels you use to worship God. But believing in God is important to me, and a big part of the man I've become."Wherever I go; there I am" AristotleI'm looking for a true partner, in every sense of the word. Someone I can trust to be authentic and simultaneously except/love me for who I am in the moment and be committed to our continual improvement/spiritual growth. I'm looking for someone who won't run if things get difficult - because they will. And someone calm and together enough to fully enjoy a really beautiful mature strong man forever. I'm looking for someone who truly loves children and will recognize and appreciate the kind of committed father that I am. I'm looking forward to grandchildren!"Sell your cleverness and buy bewilderment" Rumi "The kingdom of God is within you" TolstoyNamaste,Ted We'll work it out. Tea, Wine, Bike Ride, Yoga Class, Dinner, Ice Cream, Tappas, Church Service, A Nice Walk - All Good! No expectations, other than to enjoy each others company. Be open. Be non-judgemental. "Be yourself; everyone else is taken"
