Ok...so I just turned 50. I know...insane. But there's no use hiding it. It is what it is. But I'm told I don't look my age at all. Maybe that's true, maybe not. I"ll let you decide. Ha ha. So here we go... I am looking for ONE special friend to laugh my ass off with, share great conversations, new experiences, and of course, eventually...some deep, soulfull kissing!! I want that natural, relaxed, unforced, genuine comfort that two lovers have. One where we can enjoy each other without having to be "on". Does that make sense? Well wait..actually I'm pretty good at writing songs and then forgetting the tune entirely which then leaves me with poems. So yeah, I am a poet. Here is my latest. Wrote it very late one night. It took me about 10 minutes. Yep...what can I say...I'm a friggin' genius. :-DThis is a poem I wrote last nightA wee bit short yet full of mightWith shoulders back I stood uprightAnd faced the demon in plain sightNever more will I be deceivedBy senseless insecuritiesFor I am strong; Will I find her soon. And when I do, what new life experiences will we create. Also, why am not at a cool dinner party somewhere. I mean, it seems everyone on here goes to dinner parties. Why am I not there! I wanna go!On a typical Friday night I'm home chilling. Saturday, I'll grab a bite and a movie or I'll pop into a friendly poker game in town, or occasionally I'll see a blues band and have a few cold beers. :-DIf the idea/picture of shopping together at Trader Joe's...without your make-up on, maybe you're hair is in a ponytail, we are in our sweats and t-shirts...well if that makes you smile, then you get me :-).Okay, against the advice of my good friend, I choose to fully disclose the following...So to even further scare you away (I hope not), my 23 year old daughter moved in with me a year ago, as she is just starting out in the real world. Yeah, I know...but it is what it is. Room service? Lunch, dinner, drinks...anyplace where we can actually hear ourselves talk :-D. I think a great first date is one where we can share some great life stories...laughs, and if all goes well...maybe a kiss or three ;-). (Okay, if that doesn't work for you, that can wait until the second date)
