Update... ***.Let me start off by saying, "Fair is fair Ladies". I promise to not send pics of me posing shirtless in front of a mirror and I double dog- Scooby-Doo swear never to send you a picture of my... well... you know. I am amazed at the number of women on here who have to specifically ask guys NOT to do that! (seriously, do guys actually want to send pics of their junk??) But yet these same girls have pics on their profile looking all catty and with the " come hither" look on their faces... Pa-leeze! I'm 47 years old and there's a few things I've learned... One, women are stimulated cerebrally, well most of you... unlike us guys, we just want to see something naked! Sorry, it's the truth! Women typically aren't as visually stimulated... we guys need to have/use a brain and be able to put three words together in a sentence that doesn't have to do with hunting, cars, beer or the women we've conquered. But, hey, in all actuality, I'm glad my competition does d-bag things like send inappropriate texts and pics... WHY?? I have 4 kids and 4 grandkids that I love and come before any duck faced, self absorbed vixen. If you and I meet, I do have standards beyond your looks... and so do my kids! My sons just want to know their dad still has "it". My girls on the other hand... well, they want dad to meet someone who is good enough for the guy who taught them how they should be treated. It may or may not be you, but we'll see. Here's what I want as of today... Right now I am looking for female companionship. I love my guy friends but no matter how much I insist, they just won't shave their damn legs! I'd love to find someone who wants to spend time together and do things with. That being said, I’m not looking for casual hook up’s. I repeat… I am NOT looking for hook up’s! I think it's possible for a man and a woman to spend time together and be best friends for as long as it takes to see if each wants to take it further. I am open to the possibility of a serious relationship but it is not a priority for me right now. Here's why...After my divorce just over a year ago, I tried to fill the void in my life by dating... a lot! I joined a few sites and went on a lot first dates, or as I like to call them now, "Meet- Greet- Look for an Escape Route- Run Like Hell"! Trust me ladies, there are weirdos and creeps on both sides of the Gender River.Some of the women I have talked to/met either have ex issues or are 30 pounds heavier than their pics. Not that a little extra weight is bad but please be honest in the beginning! Then, a few of the other women I have talked to on here have a VERY high opinion of themselves... confidence is great, but it reminds me of the girls I went to high school with who were just too good for the average guy. I was that average guy. Funny thing is, at my 25th high school reunion, the guys that got all the girls back then are now fat and bald/ grey! HA! I have all my hair and it's still brown! My 30 year reunion is next summer... can't freakin wait! Seriously, If this doesn't work I'm either going gay or joining one of those sites to get a Russian mail order bride!If you and I meet and we decide we enjoy each other’s company, let's do all the typical "dating" activities, movies, lunches, robbing banks, whatever.. I'm open for anything fun! At first, I don’t have a problem occasionally treating one another to a meal just like any other friends would do, but in the beginning, let's just keep it simple. I'm in no big hurry. By the way, I have an Italian mama who taught me to feed myself so I'm a pretty good cook and I love preparing food for friends, so that could always be a good option to consider as a date as well. Over the past few years I have had a major paradigm shift with my world view. After 27 years of being very religious, I am no longer a person of faith. This caused serious problems in my marriage. That and other factors eventually lead to my divorce. So, if you are very religious and expect me to go to church more than a couple of times a year, I'm probably not the guy for you. This has been a major issue with some of the women I've talked to so I figure it best to mention it now. I can tell you all about my de-conversion sometime if you're interested.I am a proud dad of four grown kids ranging in age between 19 and 27, a 6 year old granddaughter and a 2 year old grandson and two grandbabies on the way. I usually get my granddaughter for a night about every other week so we might have a little tag along from time to time. We love the Zoo and parks so those are always good options. I work union construction so I usually have a serious farmers tan.I like going to antique shops and walking through places like Old St. Charles. I’m a pretty laid back person but I also like to go out for a few drinks once in a while and watch live music with friends or even by myself just to get out of the apartment.
