About Me

I am a engineer/scientist with a sense of humor, and the ability to laugh at myself (I'm serious when I need to be). I am at home in large groups of people, or more intimate settings with a few, or just one other person.I am returning to exercise with a vengeance (mostly rowing on machines), and I've returned to racing on the water again, but not many times/yr. I missed the competition. I train ***times/wk, depending on where I am in my training cycle. I coached collegiate rowing for 8 years.Being the last of five kids, I certainly don't have a fragile ego (see above about being able to laugh at myself), and I am independent. I love my kids more than anything else in the world; they are the greatest things that ever happened to me.I like to cook, play sports, hike, travel and explore, meet people and experience life, among other things. I like a variety of activities, have a good sense of humor, and I don't take myself too seriously. I look at life as an adventure, and I want to see more. My musical interests vary, but I don't really like much country or rap. I do like alternative/indie, jazz, rock, big bands/swing, some classical...I was actually born in March of ***, I don't know why this thing thinks I'm older than I am.
