About Me

I strife to live a sustainable and harmonious lifestyle and consider myself an environmentalist. I love all things plant related and I am currently a doctoral grad student at UNL in the Doctor of Plant Health Program. It is my intent and wish to bring wholesome, nutritious food grown sustainably to those who need it most not just those who can afford it. I feel that 50 million people that live with hunger in the U.S. is criminal in a 'land-o-plenty'. I advocate for social, political and environmental policy changes that will bring back clean air, water and soil. Prior to my collegiate activities, as a young man I worked as an auto- My hobbies include pesticide- prior to grad school), motorcycle riding ( I have a Harley), playing drums (hand percussion ***, listening to music (anything but country or rap) I particularly love both reggae and classical, scuba diving (I own my dive equipment, though it has been 4years since my last dive). I am also a total science fiction/science geek. I read voraciously, both for school and pleasure. The last non-school related books I had read were: Vandanna Shiva's Violence of the Green Revolution and Closing the Food Gap: Resetting the Table in the Land of Plenty by Mark Winne. If your social and political views are shaped or influenced by mainstream media, such as Foxnews then I am not your guy. I do not drink wine, so wine tastings are a no. Nor do I drink coffee, but I would love a hot- A walk through local gardens or parks would be nice. A bike ride or hike locally would also be pleasant. Basically something simple, quiet and brief to see if there is any interest or chemistry.

    Well Ladies back for dip in the pond!..Been off this site for awhile and thought ,"one more try"..I met a few wonderful people through the site..but not the "One" yet...The summer seems to be around the corner,,hoping so after the long winter,,,and I would much rather spend the summer with someone!...not getting any younger and I am amazed at how fast time is flying....I promised myself 5 years ago I would take more time to "smell the roses" after losing a close friend to cancer!!..so far I have managed to keep the promise...I like to travel ***times a year,,but when on these trips I find myself thinking.."this would be so much nicer" with the right woman!..I am not one for club's or bar scence's that ship has sailed...So ,I find myself on meetville...I would love to meet someone who smiles alot!! will need a sense of humor for sure,...a kind person,loves Her Family,..out going..understanding,respectful...and a good kisser for sure!..and in return I would give them same...make Her feel special..
