I got in trouble drinking and driving when I was younger, and looking at the family history made the choice that drinking is not in my best interest. Let's grab a bite, talk a bit, then take a walk ... long walk, short walk ending with a quick kiss goodnite and plans for the next date in the works. I'm most focused on quality of life...any way I can morally muster. I appreciate being. I like people and that visual/chemical connection that inspires interest. I'm successful, thoughtful and driven. I try to move through life with intention, and follow the notion that helping others is the foundation to sustained happiness.I'm an avid outdoorsman. I spend as much time as possible hiking, fly fishing and exploring all the northwest has to offer. Although I work in the behavioral health field now (which I find immensely rewarding), my roots are in natural history. I'm into various forms of art. Like so many of us, I love music...some jazz, bluegrass, classical, old rock, and I'm particularly fond of world beat stuff...anything with a good ethnic groove. I'm an artist and work in many different media. I've illustrated numerous books. Same for photography. I love to write, although I don't get to as often as I like. Once it was a big part of my job, now I just freelance...mostly I write about fly fishing.I'm close to my family...both parents and two red-- a niece and nephew. They live in TX. My son, with whom I'm very close, lives in CA.Kind women who have conviction and style catch my attention. And smart. I'm physically attracted to many types...slim, average, curvy... I believe it's important that you're a glass half full kind of girl. A good heart and empathy for others goes a really long way with me. Someone recently suggested I re-post the pics of me with dreadlocks..she said it offered a glimpse into my personality. The short hair, clean-shaven me is what you get.
