About Me

I enjoy tilling the ground in the spring and helping can the excesses in the fall. I enjoy neighbors (even the grouchy ones) and the small town life. But I also enjoy the ocean, so I moved here. I want to eventually own property in both places, so that I can enjoy the ocean, and the mountains, both. I really don't like alone. Never did. I like people, talking, exploring and meeting. I like fall celebrations and spring jamborees. I like getting out and seeing new places and meeting new people. I like seeing sunsets on the road, and the awesomeness of driving at night. I want all of this, but want a companion with me. But where do you meet people? A bar? "Ma'am, I saw that you haven't flopped over yet, are you still able to dance?"Or with my luck, walking up to woman in the grocery store and saying, "Ma'am, I noticed you weren't wearing a wedding ring...." Then looking at the end of the aisle and saying, "Oh, this is your boyfriend? He's big... and looks angry at me hitting on you, um..."So here I am, and I'm sure you are having the same problems or you wouldn't be here with me.So, about me:I'm well educated, mostly in the direction of journalism, law and civil rights, and I'm talented with my hands. I have no criminal record, and I am a responsible adult. I abuse no-one and will not tolerate abuse in my life, at all, period. Respect goes two ways. I can drive for hours and enjoy every minute of it, but more than that, I stop whenever the urge hits me, and can be seen on the side of the road with my camera on a tripod waiting for the right light to get the most awesome shot of a field of daisies, or looking though a pawn shop or thrift store that just looked interesting.I enjoy camping because there is great joy in experiencing the world we live in. It gives me great pleasure to cook breakfast in a campground, or share a dinner by a fire. Paddling a canoe on a lake at daybreak is amazing, the peaceful quiet and wonder of life around you at that time of morning is... do you think you would enjoy that?I'm fair. I'll spend as much time helping someone with me, as I will taking care of myself. I've always been spoken of as a nice guy, and as a considerate person. When I'm with someone, I make it about us.
