I am 46, and I can say that I am in the best shape of my life. Though I haven't had much luck in finding the "right woman" I still believe she is out there. I like to treat a lady like a lady. I am recently a Born Again Christain, but not overly religious, but I believe God has a Plan for me. The first date is the get to know the person. But you should get to know the person before you date them. Usually dinner and a movie, or going to a concert or somewhere conversation can take place. Taking a walk is a great first date. Going along the river, talking, holding hands, maybe a picnic. I always bring the lady some flowers or something I know she would appreciate.
