My parents taught how to treat a lady. So yes, I am a gentleman who opens doors, walk on the outside of the street and treat my female friends and anyone I come in contact with like ladies. I am also that hopeless romantic, who wants to find that special person to live the rest of my life with. I want that relationship that my grandparents had; even when they were in their 90's and you could still see the love between them. I'm not originally from this area, but have stayed here because of my children. My son is in his third studying neuroscience at IU and my daughter started studying business management locally this year. She's going to live with me since my house is so close. But I want her to have a real college experience, so I have decided to travel as a dialysis nurse for a few years. To express my creative side I have several outlets. I enjoy cooking, but don't ask for a recipe because I cook by my sense of smell and taste. I have also written some poetry and and even a few stories. I also create jewelry from the fallen branches. My son is carrying on the Hoosier tradition, so I hope to be cheering on the Hoosiers in person this year. I know they will have a great season this year and am happy that they are back to being competitive. If you have never been to Assembly Hall, I promise you that it is one of the most exciting places to watch a college basketball game. I think the most important thing you have to do with past relationships is figure out what lesson you were supposed to learn. These are a few of the lessons I learned: ***honesty and communication are important to make a relationship work. Sometimes it may be hard to say what is on your mind, but unspoken things only fester and grow. ***Only because my heart has been broken, do I know that love is possible. ***Healing involves taking a step forward and letting go of the past. It takes risking getting hurt again to find love***I am an optimistic person and need another positive person in my life. I am really an honest man and think I have been over analyzed in the past. I say what I mean and answer the questions I am asked. I guess that's why I like the quote from Fifty Shades of Grey, "Men aren't really complicated, Ana, honey. They are very simple, literal creatures. They usually mean what they say. And we spend hours trying to analyze what they've said - when really it's obvious. If I were you, I'd take him literally. JamesI have worked in Healthcare for twenty-five years now and started from the bottom as a nursing assistant, I went to school and got my Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy. I worked in that field for 15 years and I loved it. An opportunity presented it's self to go back to college and get my BSN several years back and I took it. I enjoy my current job and am looking forward to learning more and see where I end up in this career.My travel plans have really altered my view on dating at the moment and I think I'm at a point where I want to meet friends, but don't think starting a long term relationship is wise. Something simple where you can have a chance to talk and get to know each other better.
