Looking for: woman. In age: 46-56
Hey there! (Well, that was the easy part.)I’ve been a single father for a few years now, and the kids are all grown (more or less), so it’s time for me to start exploring new frontiers. I enjoy going out to movies, especially with all the good sci-fi and superhero movies out lately. I also enjoy scary (not gory) movies and comedies of all kinds. I love movies that make me think, regardless of genre. I can also be content just staying at home, engaging in conversation or snuggling up on the couch while watching a good movie. I also occasionally spend time bowling or shooting pool with friends. If I go out for drinks (which is rare these days), I prefer the atmosphere in smaller pubs, bars, or even coffee houses, especially if they have live music or open mic nights. Some of my other interests are listening to music, playing card and/or board games, and online gaming. (I feel it's important to mention that, for me, online gaming is a hobby, not a lifestyle!) I love to read, and I even enjoy reading a book to my partner. It’s a great way to share a story!I'm looking for someone who is open to sharing new experiences, and who is willing to laugh at herself as much as she laughs at me. (I tend to laugh a lot, at myself and others, and sometimes for dubious reasons.) Laughter is food for the soul, much better than chicken soup! Also, it would be great to find someone who can engage in stimulating conversation and maybe even teach me some new things or new ways of thinking. I am fairly well educated, although less formally than I’d like to be, and I enjoy just about anything that challenges me intellectually. Last but not least, I am not looking for someone who's a perfect fit. I believe the imperfections in a relationship leave room for people to grow together. I think a simple, "let's get to know each other" date would be a good start. It should be fun for both of us, and keep us where we're both comfortable. The good, old-fashioned dinner date always sounds good for a start. It should be a place that's moderately quiet so we can hear each other speak, but not lifeless and without some fun. I enjoy watching drunk people singing karaoke! And I recently discovered that I enjoy the atmosphere in a coffee house, especially if they have live music or an open mic. How would you feel about that as a first date?If the chemistry is there, we could keep our first date going with a movie, a few drinks, whatever sounds good at the time. I'm pretty open to suggestions, so feel free to make one. After all, it will be your first date too!

Man. 48 years old. Zodiac sign: Sagittarius.
Looking for: woman. In age: 45-55
My goals and aspirations for signing on here are easy. I simply wish to fill what I believe is the only real void in my life. That is to share this wonderful life with someone who is equally as crazy about me as I am her. That perfect chemistry is illusive but it exists! It will simply "feel right" when it happens. It will feel like home!OK, enough of that, and more about me! Lol. I like to think of myself as simple yet complicated. I probably would never totally overwhelm anyone with my vast knowlege of worldly things but I do have a wisdom beyond my years. OK, in all fairness, I am guilty of a few stunts that might contradict that claim! Lol. Who hasn't? I am a person who practices what I preach. Honesty is a virtuous quality in all facets of life, expecially relationships. Without that, failure is inevitable. A lack of trust and honesty brings certain misery and pain. I for one don't want that! I believe in having a verbal pact or understanding that both parties in a relationship should agree to and practice. Open and frequent communication is the key. Enough of the seriousness! That is all very important but so is just having fun and enjoying life. Once the framework is established and understood then all the fun and pleasures in life can surface. I'm not above being a little silly and sarcastic at times. That is part of my insatiable charm! Lol. The first date to me is simply an opportunity to get to know someone better. Nothing compares to the "real feel" you get for someone than meeting them in person. In that regard, it is a big event! Being that it is a FIRST date, it shouldn't be too thought out or planned. Any place that is quiet and suitable for human interaction is fine. I jokingly say that if all the stars are aligned just right and there is magic in the air, then meeting at the local landfill is fine by me!The first date should be a casual meeting where neither party should feel uncomfortable or pressured in any manner. It is non committal! If there happens to be a spark, great! If not then both can respectfully go their own way. It is hard at times. When emotions are involved, it's never easy. It probably is wise to not to have high expectations at first. I'd much rather be pleasantly surprised than unpleasantly disappointed.
