About Me

I'm a nice guy, very honest and hardworking. I don't play games - respect is important to me. I'm sometimes quiet, sometimes talkative. I see myself as shy but most people don't think of me that way. I started out life early in the business world and did well but decided a few years ago to step out for a while to do more meaningful things. I just reentered the corporate world and I'm enjoying my newest venture with a global bank. I own a beautiful Victorian house that I'm restoring and my life often centers around it (maybe a little too much sometimes). I'll drop everything to help someone who needs it but I rarely ask for help myself. I'm an eternal optimist - almost nothing gets to me. Everything always works out and I'm confident it always will (sometimes with a little help).I like to fix things and am very ambitious in my projects (both in the board room and the workshop). I buy and restore antique furniture - I like things that are made well and have a lot of character. I love working on my house - but when it comes to restoration I'm a bit of a perfectionist so it will never be finished (unless a future mate makes me finish it - in which case I'll do so begrudgingly :) ). I like to restore whole neighborhoods and join boards of organizations that need help. Hide the broken stuff from me unless you want me poking around with it. Except for people - people need to fix themselves (but I'll be right there with you the whole way).I lead a pretty healthy life. I work out daily, eat well, and have more energy than most 10 people (this is both good and bad). :) I don't expect my partner to be as focussed on health as I am but I expect to live a long happy life and would certainly like my partner with me through it all - so health consciousness is important. When I am in a relationship I'm attentive, caring, and committed - and I'm looking for the same in my partner.I've traveled all over the world and even lived in Japan for a while. I've had three very successful careers, restored two beautiful old houses, and have spent most of the past 10 years giving back. I'm very high energy and passionate - but also very calm and laid back. I'm looking to meet some nice people on this site and to make some new friends - but my dating goals are to find someone to share the rest of my life with. I would like to have a family and I'm finally ready to settle down. I'd like to meet someone who already has children or would like to.If any of this sounds at all interesting to you please send me a note - I'd like to hear from you. I like to take first dates slow. Friendship first. Coffee or a glass of wine in a quiet spot where we can talk and get to know each other. Once I get to know what someone likes I enjoy planning more interesting / creative future dates. I think communication is important and it's one of the things I'm looking for early in a relationship. .

    I like music(not hip-hop or rap), singing, cooking, golf, volleyball, photography and the outdoors. I have two daughters 21 and 20 both away at college, so I'm an empty nester. I love to watch old TCM movies. I do my best to keep in shape although it's more challenging as I get older. Brewers games in the summer are a must as the Packers in the fall. Camping, ATVing, fishing, golfing, music festivals love em all and do it as much as I can. I believe strongly in commitment and feel that our morale values in this country has deteriorated. Just looking for someone I can have fun with. I believe a first date should be a chance to meet a new friend. A nice restaurant with good food a couple drinks and nice conversation.
