I won't go into a whole "I like puppies and walking in the rain" synopsis here. There are plenty of sappy romance books in the library for that. What I will say is that I am a kid at heart and honest to a fault. I like the simple things in life and find that just hanging out with my friends is one of the best times to be had. But going out someplace is always an option. I would rather be casual but neat, but I can get dressed up if need be. I guess I'll say I'm flexible in that respect.I can't guarantee that you will laugh at all of my jokes, but that won't stop me from trying. Sarcasm, as long as it is not mean, is an art form.I'm not a health fanatic, and I cannot spend hours in a gym as I get bored easily with that, but do work out at home to keep in shape. I like to be active and stay in shape by either playing some sort of sport, hiking or doing different activities. If I can work up a sweat playing volleyball, tennis or racquetball and then do some weights at home the day is complete.I would rather play a sport than watch. I enjoy sitting down and watching a football game, but I am not tied to the tv. I think recording the game, going out and doing something interesting, and then coming back to watch it in an hours time as opposed to three hours is a better option.I want someone who wants to be a part of my life but also has one of her own. There is nothing wrong with having your own interests. You can share them with the other person, and learn from them, but it also allows you to have that all important alone time.I long for someone who can show affection and does not mind holding hands or a kiss in public. I am a passionate person in everything I do, whether it be a sport, a hobby or a relationship. I feel that there is no reason to do things halfway.I am interested in someone who is honest, fun and down to Earth. And please don't be so attached to your cell phone that it can't be put away for the night or a day out. Being in contact is one thing, but being out of touch is another.I like a woman who is confident, knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go for it, so I definitely don't mind someone who makes the first move.While my profile says that I don't drink, understand that I have nothing against it. I am a drama free person looking for my complement. I am very happy and secure in my career and personal life. I put a very high priority on family life and walked away from my dream job 7 years ago to have a chance at realizing my dream of being a great father. I was an airline pilot and loved every minute of flying and the skills that I developed. That said, the first year of my daughter's life raced by as I was only home ***days a month. Taking control of my life, I went back to school and finished a master's degree in business at UNC and moved into healthcare. I love what I do and as a bonus I am able to play a large role in my daughter's life. I am secure in my decisions and path and have worked hard to also ensure that my relationship with my ex is amicable and focused on doing what is right for our daughter. We do not argue or fight and are both willing to discuss and compromise on any issues that involve her. I am looking for an equal in the true sense of the word. I have found that two people that are happy with their career paths and confident in their abilities have a synergistic effect that allows each to find contentment and satisfaction far deeper than on their own. Both understand the demands the other faces and provide support to help the other push past barriers. I enjoy things like independent films, the arts and stimulating conversation. While I can be a foodie and enjoy an expensive meal and a night out watching a play, I can also find great satisfaction cooking at home and sitting on the patio having a personal conversation. I enjoy going to sporting events and spending time on the lake. Also, I believe in living a healthy lifestyle so my match would complement and motivate me to continue that journey. I just finished my first two 8k races and have several more planned. I am open to new experiences and would like to meet someone that will introduce me to things that I may not have tried.
