Edit: I tried to find some pics of me not scruffy or in the field. "Not in the field" was easy. However, it seems my scruffiness is pervasive... possibly terminalI tried meetville several years ago, but I was a bit too fresh out of a relationship. I wasn’t ready. I decided it wasn’t fair to anyone I met to have them potentially suffer through my healing process and closed my membership. Now, old wounds are healed and the past is just memories. Guess I’ll give ‘er another go.What to say about myself? Hmmm…I’m a single divorcee with no children although I like kids (my inner child and I are on very good terms… he always seems to have good advice). I’… more so after a beer or two) and all my family is back east. I came west for work and have lived/worked all over the country. I’ I even bought a house (shudder). I’m very easygoing and try not to let things bother me.“Be not disturbed by trifles common nor unavoidable.” I find the quote to be good words to live by (and a bit more pleasant than “don’t sweat the small shit”). Interests….I enjoy the outdoors, hence my job, but find myself doing more office work these days. I like to camp, but seldom find the time.;a lover of the other side of the hill." A few years ago, after watching a friend play, I took up playing acoustic guitar. I’m still not great, but I find it relaxing (it’s a good way to let out stress after not being disturbed by trifles). My music preferences is varied but tend to prefer unplugged acoustic (old blues, country, folk, etc.). I love seeing music in small intimate venues (which makes life in Sac a bit tough). I’m also an avid reader and whenever a subject interests me I gobble up books on it until satiated. I’m also a geek and enjoy geeky things. I mentioned the vocal inner child right? I used to be a closet-geek because I was worried about perceptions. Good thing that I’ve put on a few years and learned to not give a damn what others think as long as I’m not hurting anyone. I’’ fans need not apply (unless you’re not bothered by a few insults 16 weeks out of the year).I also love movie nights during winter. Chilly temps + couch + blanket + good grub + movie = heaven (and it's even better with a partner)Random musings…I see in a lot of profiles people talking about tattoos (i.e., I hope they aren’t a problem, etc.) I love good ink. I think they’re beautiful (although not a big fan of unicorns and rainbows). I, however, don’t have any. I come close several times, but now it’s almost become a point of pride to be in the minority as a 100% sans ink.I guess I have many other likes, dislikes, musings, opinions, etc. As I think of them I’ll add them. But in the meantime, if you’re curious just ask ;-) something simple...coffee? lunch? Pretty much anything where we can chat and focus on each other... see where it goes.
