Let's try this again...40-something, unashamedly feel like 20-something but not an idiot.Millionaire? Afraid not. Pragmatist? Aspirational? Ambitious? Probably. I'm enjoying life but it would be great to meet someone who likes music, laughing, movies, gigs, good food, a drink or two. Someone who doesn't have a massively over-inflated opinion of themselves, someone who I can plan holidays with, spend time in the kitchen with drinking wine rattling up marvellous food, road trips to nowhere in particular and walks in interesting places. We're not here long so let's just chill out and enjoy what we have. I've a lot to offer and it's about time I met someone to share good days, bad days (but mainly good days), laughs and fun with.Most of my photos are from a few months ago but I've taken up running 5k's and 10k's of late and I feel thinner, fitter, more positive and happier than I have in years.I have one son who's almost 18 and lives with his mum. I've been on here before and not had the best of luck, but as meeting people gets harder I thought I'd give it one more try.I've just had a dream promotion at work, have moved into a very nice apartment in Worlsey village, am mobile again and feel the only thing missing to complete the matching set is someone nice to share my time with.I am a bit of an old fashioned romantic, love to be in love, find nothing nicer than sharing things with someone special and am a sucker for that fluttering you get when your with the right person.I describe myself as inked/pierced as I have quite extensive well done tribal tattoos (sleeves and a full back piece) though these are as easy to cover up as they are to have them out for all to see. I'm definately more stylish than fashionable (learnt long ago good shoes gets you kudos with a classy lady) and pretty much always have stubble. I have them as reminders of certain times in my life that mean a great deal to me. I would describe myself as someone who likes to keep fit rather than being fanatical about it, I do attend the gym on a daily basis when possible but to be honest this is to keep fit rather than to bulk up. I have over the years had quite extensive abdominal surgery so my health and fitness is very important to me, the way I look at it the harder you work at keeping fit the more you earn the occasional blow out.I am a muso (though sadly have no musical talent) and being from the Madchester generation I am an indie kid (though if I can be classed as a kid still is debatable), am a lover of good rock and strangely over recent years have developed a taste for what I call adult dance music (Faithless, Orbital, Underworld and stuff of that kind). Someone to go to concerts and maybe festivals with would be cool. I like too cook for someone as much as I like a nice meal out.I am as much anti TV as I am a music fan and recently moved and realised that in 3 years I had never plugged my TV into the aerial, I do like the TV but find what I like is better watched on line (I do have a pathological hatred of realty TV). I love watching a good film too.What do I want? A super model with skips full of cash would be nice but I can't find the right tick box for that catagory ;-).Seriously I have a type that I find attractive and need to find someone who has the same love for life I do, long gone are my days of endless partying but the occasional cobwebb buster still appeals if there's someone nice to share my dirty kebab with on the way home.Don't really know what else to say other than my Granny used to promise I'm a nice guy and that if I meet the right person I have so much to offer them.DarrenPlease don't just send a one line message first up, shows no manners or imagination.
