I'm a somewhat recently separated father of four who never planned on hitting the dating scene at the age of 40, so I plan to start slowly (friends, casual dating, etc). That being said, I'm also open to whatever comes along. Basically, I'm trying to keep my mind open but my expectations grounded. By the way, I'm following the little meetville guidlines for this section, so if it's lame, or boring, or scripted...or if it in any way sucks...try to overlook it and withhold judgement. I'm career-oriented and love what I do, but nothing is more important than my family. My days start and end with the kids...getting them off to school in the mornings, and cooking dinner and helping with homework at night. I do take a lot of satisfaction in the fact that the kids are well fed with home-cooked meals and a lot of freshly baked bread (most of the time!). I also enjoy reading (mostly non-fiction, particularly history) and watching movies with the kids. I love the outdoors and used to enjoy hiking, camping, and canoeing, but haven't done much of any of these in a while. Hopefully I would find someone who might like to do some of these things together. Museums are cool, but I also like going out for dinner and drinks, and love to play pool and darts. And golf. I like golf, without being obsessed with it.Music? It would be easier to say what I don't like: modern country. I pretty much like everything else. What makes me unique? Maybe the fact that I'm nowhere near as boring as this description makes me sound. I'm actually a lot of fun once you get to know me...I'm really nice, and maybe not the first person you'd notice in a group, but I'm surprisingly fun, too. I think my ideal first date would be a drink and a game of pool. Or maybe a Walleye or Mudhens game. A coffee or lunch date would probably be alright, but sometimes I picture that being almost like an interview (which maybe it is, in a way). Honestly though, it's whatever you'd like. I'm really looking forward to meeting someone cool, and ultimately the venue will be far less important than the person I'm sharing it with (I hope!).

No Doubt about it this is a first! I have not traveled this online dating road. Have been told that meetville is the way to go so here I am. A description of me, a mandatory description of me(funny). Well, here it goes. I guess I should start by saying I am A Feel Guy. What is that you ask, it is synomous with terms like, soulful, passionate, groovy, sensual, mystical and other words of the sort. Seriously though, I am, I cant help it. Some say I am an outside the box type thinker refusing to be described in the norm. It is true I do consider myself as a thinker in an outside the box way. It is me, always has been can't deny it. And I have never concerned myself with having to be normal. I am one that looks for the Big Things, something unique that is needed. I find it challenging, always interesting and can be very rewarding. At the same time I do enjoy and appreciate the little things, the everyday things. To me that is what adds up to be quite possibly a Big thing and always a good thing. I like to say that I look for, and see the forest and the trees. I ride motorcycles, race motocross, and am totally into seeking out live fresh music that has a groovy, cool feel to it, to dance too, sing too, and introduce others too. I can't put in words how much I love my children. I have been divorced for six years and as each day goes by it does not get any easier to miss a day with them. Once again it is the little things, the everyday things as they walk through their lives discovering who they are that I miss. I am a very proud father and I don't think, well I know, that I will never get used to missing a single day of their precious moments. During this time I had two relationships that I would say meets the definition of the word. It has been just me for a while and I have enjoyed it. It has been good rediscovering myself , deciding who I want to be, what I want to do as I enter this new chapter in my life.. I also believe in most old fashion, traditional ways. I believe in magical, mystical, marvelous ways too. The Lady for me, well she would be just that, magical, mystical, special, beautiful in her own ways yet have the soulful, magnetic, groovy, sensual side as well. And all this in a very natural she cant help it kind of way. Together we would have that soulful, deep connection as well as being best friends walking side by side, hand in hand as equals. The simple fact that I am putting this out there should show I still believe that my soul mate is still out there. It has come time to actively search and put in the effort to find this special someone. However I will say that one of the biggest things I have learned in life is Patience. There is not a clock going off in my mind and soul whatsoever. I Believe, Truly, Madly, Deeply! In closing I am convinced, and there is NO Doubt in my mind that this will be the Greatest Adventure of all! Walking city market, downtown, the beach somewhere like that with groovy music all around, coming across a great table to enjoy a refreshing drink and satisfying dinner and then, who knows!
