About Me

A little about me:I have two children, a teenage daughter not living with and a three year old son living with. Unfortunately I don't get to see my daughter much. :(I like the outdoors and live on a little farmstead with woods and a small pond. I like to eat somewhat healthy so I like to grow some of my own food and I have a few chickens for eggs. Alternative energy and green living are goals of mine but I am still working on improving my lifestyle in those directions. I am not crazy about it but I do want to do things a little better. Updated: I just got accepted to a local University and will be going back to school full time! This is a huge event for me. I am enrolling in the Bachelors Sustainable Living program. I am a bit old-fashioned but I also go against societal labels and norms a bit. I don't like sports that much except to play and have fun. I also don't watch a lot of tv other than movies and select shows. Some of the shows I enjoy are Grimm, Game of Thrones, Big Bang Theory, Friends. I like a variety of movies but lean towards action adventure/ sci-fi. As far as music goes, I also enjoy many types from 'new age" background music to country, pop to oldies and prefer newer rock.Some of my hobbies/ recreational interests include: outdoors activitites like camping/ hiking, photography, gardening, homesteading, historical re-enactments, building/ making things.I like to be inventive in solving problems and improving my home and try to be very DIY. I have a wide variety of skills and experience which helps a lot. Eventually I hope to draw together some sort of a small community of like minded-people as friends and/or extended family to live together like they did in small pioneer towns but that is quite a ways down the road. I would really like to find a partner to share my life with as well but I am also wanting to find a few good, close friends. I will have to come back to this when I know a little more what to write. For me it is usually coffee/tea or maybe a light meal and conversation to get to know each other better.

I am not into endless *** texting. At first I prefer to get to know each other on the phone a little then plan to meet. Endless phone calls and texting leads no where I am looking for a women to be mine and why waste the time on the phone when we can meet in person and talk. I have 1 dog and a cat so I like pets if you have them. I do not have any children and dont mind if you do. But at my age I am not really sure if i would like children now, I have thought about that but for the most part, being in my 40's and having a child now might not be a good thing, plus the world we live in now is not what it was 20 years ago. so Most likely no children for me. If god intended me to have children I would of had them years ago. My pets are my children now! My Family is big I am the baby out of 6 kids, my father passed away in ***and my mom is still with us... Nothing like sitting by the ocean drinking a glass of wine or a favorite beer and enjoying the company of a woman (hopefully my main woman) and the sounds of the ocean!I like to have fun and am not about the games, if you're looking for a nice down to earth happy guy then that's me but if you're looking for MR GOLD or Ken Types or some muscle guy then move on. So many women on all these dating sites are too picky. I am just as happy alone as I can be with a women, lets face it we are all getting older and we would all like to share our lives with someone.and yes I do like my women average build (a few extra pounds is ok), I hate to say this because some of the much heavier women (BBW) think I am missing out, well if I never liked heavy set women why would I start now after 45 years. it's just not what I am looking for, to each their own. sorry For a first date if its warm go for a ride to a favorite resturant and talk and get to know eachother. Or if its cold outside I dont mind meeting at a restuarant or a starbucks to talk. Maybe go see a movie but cant really talk during a movie. the best things would be a concert or going to a club to see a band to get to know eachother.I say we do something off the wall meet at a place that most do not meet at, Sure I like coffee, beer and food but come on lets Be creative!
