I will start out with my favorite quality about myself. I am the kind of guy that can figure out almost anything and enjoys helping others with those skills. I will never take money for helping others, but ask them to do something nice for someone as well someday in return. That is worth more then money to me, keep the love going around! I am very thoughtful and the kind of guy that always thinks of others before myself. I like someone that appreciates me for my thoughtfulness and all the other things I do for others. I am easy to make laugh and laugh a lot because I am typically pretty happy and positive. I am confident but not****! I think things alway happen for a reason and usually look at a glass as half full. My friends would describe me as, fun, exciting, interesting, social and usually liked be everyone. I am looking for someone that will give back a little something in return and not take me for granted, but appreciate me. I enjoy the outdoors and try spending a little time at my cabin for relaxation, fishing and night time campfires with family and friends. I enjoy the country but on the flip side like the city, cruising classic car around town and car shows, dining out and hanging out downtown. I enjoy spending time with someone I care about rather then spending every night alone.I want to find true love and a true spark.     I am a man who works hard and loves people. I also love to relax at home. I keep my home and yard neat. When you own a home there is always something to do. I am quite handy and love learning new things. Electrical, carpentry, plumbing ... yep I can get my hands dirty doing all those things. When it comes to solving computing problems, analyzing data and/or building things I'm an expert.I also am a humanist and teach children. I love working with kids and learners and I love my own children deeply. There is nothing better than when a child gives you the only thing they have to give. Melt my heart every time!I like nice drives and day trips...more of seeing all those people out there. It doesn't really matter what we are doing I know how to have fun. Even in the bad situations I make the best of it because that's what I am presented with at the time and darnit if I am going to be dragged down.Domestically I enjoy cooking and eating...and I enjoy cooking for others too. O.K. maybe too much cooking and eating LOL. Who doesn't like to eat right? Very few. I spent 10 years as a chef earlier in life and it still pervades my mindset. I guess domestic skills stay fresh because you don't really put them aside. I have done a lot of theater but not in quite a few years now. I love the arts and humanities and am open to exploring the breath and depth of the cultures of the world.I'd like to find an equal to build and share a life with. It's not easy the older we get. I've met a lot of great women and am grateful for that...for whatever reasons it hasn't worked out YET. It's tough with kids and careers and houses and distance and emotions and ...I'd really like to have a chance to let my guard down, be free and enjoy it. But the guard does not just get shed automatically and I am not as good as I would like to be at managing my boundaries. It's always a work in progress but I do try and articulate what's going on for me as best I can. Certain things have to happen over the course of time. The person I need to be with will be patient with me and communicate with me as I will do with her. She is intelligent self-aware and honest. She has good moral character and spirituality. the idea of a first date is quite simply to enjoy ourselves. Let's be real we can do that in a zillion different ways.
