About Me

I am very easy-going, flexible with my time and other people's needs, and quite understanding. I take the time to get to know and try to understand the person I am with. Many have told me that over the last 20 years that I am very easy to get along with and become close to in a relationship. I am told I have a very positive energy and am very energetic, when my guard is down.I promise I am a largely happy person even though it seems that a cloud hangs over me or when I come off as way to cerebral for my own good sometimes. Believe it or not, being "too" smart and intellectual is its own evil. I enjoy a drink or two from time to time; When I finally let loose, I am known and widely appreciated by my high school friends as a happy, fun "drunk". I think then most of my guard is down (see above)Some see the glass as half-full; some see it as half-empty. I have been described as one who sees the glass as too small. I beat to a very different drummer; most I have met are rather apprehensive about it, but I have found it to be a admirable quality about myself.When I am in equilibrium with my life, you can find me tending to my garden (I grow mostly edibles: tomatoes, spicy peppers, basil, oregano, parsley.I try to live an active life when not working. When I am not tending to various pulled muscles and tendons (I hate getting older!), I enjoy a good game of volleyball (indoors or outdoors), I love the ocean and activities done in salt water, like snorkeling, and catching goodies for my saltwater fishtank (when I get it started again :) ). I am currently doing crossfit three times a week. I do not feel and different yet but some of my clothes are growing a bit :)I enjoy cooking, and try whenever possible to use ingredients that I grow from scratch or make from natural sources (not necessarily organic because they overcharge for organic) products. I tinker with computers, and have repaired many computers for my friends and co-workers and even rebuilt a few frankenstein computers from broken parts. Believe it or not, the unemployment rate among highly specialized professionals is very high, and has been for over 10 years.I want to have children one day, and I want to be married forever to the one who has my children. That being said, my first priority is getting a job and getting my career back on track (right now I can support myself but noone else. I know this is not a tenable situation in a long-term relationship, especially when kids are involved). Thus, I will not push for more than fun with someone with whom we can enjoy ourselves and our time together, building memories as we go. Whatever develops beyond that is icing on the cake :)I am looking for the right fit. The one with whom I feel the right chemistry. When she and I are together, noone else exists around us. She is fun, outgoing, talkative, active in life. She brings out the best and the spontaneity in me, and I hope I can bring out the best in her. I felt all that once before, for two weeks. I am hoping that I can feel this way again, but for considerably longer.
