Tall, confident Sinatra fan looking for traditional lady who is at a point in her life where loud nightclubs are starting to wane. I don't enjoy leaving a club and having my ears ring for two days. Been there, done that. This isn't to say that fun is over. There are a lot of activities where having a partner is fun like wine tasting events, hikes, dinners, trips, outdoor concerts, etc.I have coached youth football, high school football and wrestling which was great to mentor the kids and make them better in their respective sports. I stand up for the less fortunate through actions and words meaning I try to help people become self-sufficient. I chiseled 20 lbs off of the wall. Amazing time to be there. My next desire is to visit our wonderful and historical areas here in the US.Brought up as a gentleman, I prefer women who have class, tact, honesty and integrity.What I consider fun is casual dancing, working out, playing pool, hanging out with friends, volunteering, exploring and learning new things. Also, I independently study sociolinguistics which is fascinating. Estoy aprendiendo español ahora (I am learning Spanish now). Being independent is also something I value. In other words, I am not looking to be around someone ***. I like companionship and value it but need time to myself and/or with my friends.I'd like to meet someone who is affectionate, appreciative and outgoing like myself. I'd like a friend who isn't adverse to exercising. And someone who wants to participate in repairing the world with me. Someone who sees the glass half full. I tend to see the good out of most situations. I need someone well-read. This doesn't mean having a doctoral level of education. There are plenty of educated people out there without all the formal degrees. I don't enjoy hearing slang or people cussing excessively. Major turnoff. Recently read "A Game of Thrones" after hearing so many friends rave about it. I am almost finished with DeMille's first book, "The Charm School."R. When I want to mellow out, I put on Sade, Erykah Badu or even classical music.     On here to see what happens and where things go:I could easily say that I'm tough and rugged yet sensitive and the world's greatest handyman...a knight in shining armor fairytale type of a guy but the truth is I'm just a guy who's getting tired of being alone...i have a big heart that i wear on my sleeve and i'm not afraid to live life. life is a gift to be enjoyed and not a problem to be solved. i went to college when i was 33 because i was sick of working dead-end factory jobs where everyone is a miserable robot. i like animals so i majored in conservation ecology and minored in natural history. i have worked with both black bears and gray wolves and currently manage a wildlife sanctuary. I bust my ass for things I believe in and take pride in all I do. although i've a restless spirit this lifestyle is slowly becoming tiring and the want/need to "settle" down is creeping up on me. but for now i would be perfectly happy finding someone that just wants to hang out from time to time, have a few laughs, go to a movie, or have a crazy adventure over a weekend...and see where things go from there.i'm a goofball. i like to laugh and make others laugh. i have an odd sense of humor. i get a kick out of the simple things in life. i'm only serious when i need to be. i like cheap beer and cheap wine. campfires and howling wolves put a smile on my face. one tattoo wasn't enough so i'll stop getting 'em when i'm finished. cannery row was possibly the greatest book ever written. thin lizzy and the ramones are my rock n roll heroes. i want to see the entire planet. maps and globes are my television sets. my imagination knows no bounds... "and night was what night should be...a girl, a bottle, and blessed sleep." j.
