About Me

I can be challenging (in a positive way), quirky, sarcastic, direct, sometimes funny, I listen and warm up quickly to good conversations with interesting people. Though I know many people, I have a few close friends who I see far too infrequently and would do anything to help; it is about quality, not quantity. I tend toward optimism and am generally a positive person.). I love good music and good food. I enjoy finding interesting food, and creating and experimenting with recipes. While I will listen to almost anything I tend towards things a bit alternative, ska, punk, with a bit of pop and country (though generally more of a classic country); I love Jazz, piano and big band or jazz orchestras are favorites.My interests are varied and numerous, I own my home, manage property, am a builder, and then there is my job. I easily have or make time for the important people in my life. I am a problem solver, which has been helpful in understanding different perspectives. I have never had an interest in being a player or juggling women, and that perspective will not change. Ultimately, I am a nice guy and a good person, simply looking for a connection with another; I realize skeptics may have a hard time believing that, I can hold up to the scrutiny. While I am interested in dating, I am looking for the right person and having a family, though it is not an immediate need. I am looking for a partner and friend, someone who looks forward to just hanging out and talking, or scrambling off on a spur of the moment adventure; I do like to plan things too. I am looking for a person with varied interests, and open to new ones, and the creativity to work together making opportunities into experiences. Many of our interests will be in common, though not all; everyone needs time on their own. I’ll try just about anything once or twice, even just going along for the ride is fun too. I am adventurous, yet laid back; outgoing and reserved. I hope this is enough information to create some curiosity, and there is so much more to who I am. Perhaps our next adventures will be our meeting, and it will take off from there! I would like to meet for drinks (cafe or bar) or casual dining, ideally a place conducive to conversation. Or a somewhat relaxed activity that allows for easy conversation, you can come up with one too. Obviously the idea of getting together is simply to get to know who we are dealing with and whether to continue; multiple exits and public place are easily accommodated in this day and age (written with a smile), though I am certain we won't need them.
