I am mostly easy going, love to travel to new places, love to learn new things and apply them in my life. I love a good mystery - book or movie. I have been known to camp, hike, bird watch, and other outdoor activities. I like to fish, but haven't been in quite a while. Have not been hunting, but am willing to give it a try, as long as the weapon is a camera. I used to ski, but after an injury, I'm a little skiddish, so I probably wouldn't go higher than the bunny slopes, if at all. I am somewhat conservative, but not enough to label me an "R", and not liberal enough to be a "D", so I guess I'm 'middle of the road'. I do my research, and vote my conscience. My color code is tied between blue and white, and my love language is 'acts of service'. I've learned as I've gotten older, that perfection is not attainable - so, I'm not looking for someone perfect - just someone perfect for me. :-)I do like a good 'adventure', whether it be something as easy as trying a new food - or as intricate as backpacking across Europe. Combine the two, and we've got real fun! I've been to a few places, but there is still so many things I'd like to do, and finding the right partner to share the experiences would be icing on the cake! I'm looking for a kind man, who is thoughtful, considerate, sincere, loving and genuine. I'm looking for the kind of chemistry that when two people have an understanding of, and attraction to each other that goes beyond always needing words to express. I'm not looking for an exact copy of myself - but, someone who complements my qualities, understands my needs, (and vice versa), and the kind of affection to be able to support each other in rough times. Trust, loyalty, genuine friendship, open communication, optimism, respect, compassion.....these things are important, too. I can't compromise on those. Oh, and he needs to have a good sense of humor, handy with tools, likes to cook (or at least share in preparation of meals), knows what he wants, and interested in self-improvement in some way. LOL - does this guy even exist?I am retired from my first career, and I am considering taking a temporary overseas job, so I need to find someone who is up for that adventure! Or, maybe just someone who has the time and resources available to grab a Eurorail pass and go on an adventure....or, perhaps the bullet train across Japan. What's on your bucket list? I love to have fun. I would love to have won that Mega lottery last night,...but I didn't!! Oh well, I guess I'll have to work for a living! I'm a Great Mom! I have 2 kids, one in college, and one just Graduated college, and they live at home too, when they aren't too busy! I've been single since they were babies. They're good kids, and good students, I could say more, but, this isn't about them. I am flexible, I am just as happy going to the beach, as to the symphony. I love to travel, and explore new places. I love animals, kids, and nature, and enjoy visiting the State Parks. I like camping and fishing, almost as much as *****hotels and fine dining. I LOVE THE OCEAN! I'm not extremely political, but I do have opinions that I will defend when pressed. I like most types of music, especially country, rock-n-roll, and jazz, but the exception is that I don't care for acid rock. If you would find this equally mortifying, you could try to duck and hide, but you are forewarned, if the right song comes on... it will happen, it's usually best to just join in and enjoy the moment.My kids are always telling me not to talk to strangers, but I find it boring to just stand in a long line, and not talk to anyone. I am a good friend. I have many acquaintances, but a few friends have been in my life more than 20 years. My friends are important to me. They say that I am nice, honest, caring, beautiful and intelligent, a Good person, and have many talents, a good sense of humor, and deserve to be well-treated. I agree, why argue when they are correct? After we chat some, we could make a date to meet for Happy Hour, or to get a bite to eat somewhere casual...maybe have a snack and walk in the park, or on the beach. Since this is a first date it will be somewhere public, where we can talk, maybe participate in an activity, and enjoy each other's company.I'm fairly comfortable in most places so, make a suggestion, we'll make the best of whatever happens and could have a really great time!

It reflects my moods, my energy and music emphasizes my love of life. My kids and I are always singing in the car. I love the 80's; that's when I grew up but I don't limit myself to listening to one type of music. I love listening to current music, hearing what great music younger artists are creating. My favourite songs right now are "Roar", "Take back the Night","'Get Lucky" and "Royals". I am ready to meet someone and fall in love again. I know what I want in a relationship. People deserve the time and effort it takes to get to know someone. I am aware that it takes a lot more than a connection online and it will take work to attain a meaningful relationship. I am looking for someone who is interested in serious relationship, just as I am. I consider the first date to be the one after the initial meeting. If there is a mutual interest in one another then we can agree to meet again where we can enjoy each other's company and learn more about each other. So I think that the first date should involve an activity that is fun, where there is an opportunity to talk. It would be fun to go mini golfing, take in a festival or go for a stroll. I would then like to have a meal at a restaurant which neither of us have been and where you can enjoy the food and the ambiance for the first time together. I would like to sit in a booth or an intimate table, allowing me to focus on getting to know you. I want to have a comfortable and easygoing time. I would like to end the date with going for an ice cream cone.
