About Me

This talking about yourself to complete strangers is a bit daunting, but necessary, I guess :) If I bore you to tears, just skip to the end - I totally get it :)I've been described as very outgoing, friendly, fun, talkative...which I am always surprised by since I consider myself to be on the shy side. It's probably more dependent on the atmosphere and the company I'm in than my true nature, which I constantly try to override anyway :) So yeah, I guess I can make a fool of myself as well as anyone but I can also sit in the corner and carry on an intimate conversation.I've been the director of a marketing department for a mid-size firm, the vp of the PTO for my son's elementary, sat on the board of a non-profit, and stayed home with the kids for a few years - and I found all of these things equally rewarding.I'm in that "recently divorced" period of my life. Spending as much time as possible with my kids, who I have every other week, filling the rest of my time with work, friends, hobbies, etc. I've managed to stay busy doing things I really enjoy - writing, reading, exercising, dining out, traveling, catching a movie now and then, trying to teach myself photography and improving my culinary skills (trust me - they needed improvement!) so I lead a well-rounded, fulfilling life. I would, however, like to find someone to share it with.I gravitate toward men who are educated, kind, adventurous, spontaneous, passionate and communicative. If you like to dance, that is a definite bonus :) I respect personal time, don't like to play games, and understand that everyone has a past - we're all adults, after all. A glass of wine or a cup of coffee are a perfect first date - if you really have chemistry you can always move on to dinner :)

    I have a very dry, sarcastic sense of humor. My friends get me. I love that about them. I am grateful for my friends, they are my family.     Bonus if you know where my headline came from. A little about me: I've been told I'm intelligent, sweet, smart and funny and I believe it. Speaking of which, physically all I can tell you is that I prefer guys who are on the tall side (5'9 or taller) and guys that look on the young side like I do. As far as body type, it's more about how a man carries himself and that he takes a little pride in his health and appearance than his body type so there is definitely no need to be a gym rat. Lastly, I'm looking to be friends with someone as well as romance. To me that is someone you have mutual respect, caring and admiration for, someone you share common interests with and have FUN with and someone who has your back no matter what. Someone who wants to spend time with you and who wants to see you happy. Throw in some chemistry and sexual attraction and voila', you have yourself the potential for a great relationship. One thing I really miss doing is cuddling up with a good guy in front of a movie or listening to some music and just relaxing into him.
